@KeithThroop Who determines what a “Real Christian” is? I’ve known lots of people who profess to be “Christians” even as they use the Bible/New Testament to justify some of the most horrific crap. I’ll give you that he’s not a “typical” Conservative ... but then, he’s never been a “typical” Democrat or Republican either. If you look at Old Video Footage of him ... and there exists TONS of it ... he’s ALWAYS been pretty Conservative in thought and action and ALWAYS been surprisingly “Christian” in his “Good Works” which exist in the Hundreds ... what IS interesting to me, is that I personally know a few of his “Good Works” and know of several more and HE NEVER said ANYTHING about them to earn some sort of self-aggrandizement from them. I’ve dealt with him when he was a Builder ... mostly in Trade Related Galas or Award Ceremonies or through his Contractors as I was in the Contractor Builder Supply Industry for quite some time. We weren’t “friends” ... we were barely “acquaintances” ... though I wouldn’t bet he doesn’t know my name because he remembers stuff like that amazingly well ... I didn’t particularly care for his “Persona” ... his Style ... or the fawning butt kissers ... but, I learned to respect his ability to make decisions based on gathered information and his interest in personally understanding even the slightest details of whatever he was working on at any given moment.

I make a habit of not listening to “all” of anybody simply because it becomes too easy to “Fall Into Line” with one thought process or another ... not to mention that DBs casts are ... LONG. I spend a lot of time ferreting out different information from different sources partially as check to validate what I’m hearing, partially because my interests range much more widely than any one commentator and partially because I need to spend time looking at what the opposition (DemLeft/Socialists & etc) are up to. Since mostly his casts are such that I don’t need to watch, I let them run while I’m doing other things ... reading or researching other sources ... or simply doing chores. I suppose I average 2 to 4 episodes per week ... some partials ... I think that if you have to pick one source over any other Dan’s right up there but I find Tim Pool to have a lot of good information as well and his casts are typically less than 1/2 an hour

I am no fan of “Fact Checkers” because the most dedicated ... self advertised ... of them have ALWAYS seemed to be Biased or “Agenda Driven”. @Aaharwood Sciatica is a physical thing and physical things are most easily helped by doing “physical” things. I had severe sciatica from the accident because my pelvis had been broken in 3 places and my back (sacrum) had been severely cracked in 2 places. Mostly sciatica can be ... somewhat relieved ... by laying down. For me, I found that laying on my stomach took pressure off the pinched/inflamed portion of the sciatic nerve and gave a chance to calm down. Sometimes a pillow placed under my hips helped (straightened/deweighted the spine) sometimes a pillow between my thighs or ... you would have to find the “right” combination and its not always the same. The most important thing I found with everything was to have a way to distract my mind from my problems ... from the pain ... thankfully I had literally hundreds of books I hadn’t read. If you’re a reader, you might find it useful to go to “archive.org” which is a Massive Free Library you can read on your iPad and etc. it covers almost everything you can imagine from Reference to Fiction from Thucydides to Donald Trump from Clive Cussler to Henry Miller and its literally free and it takes up almost no bandwidth. Find books and bury yourself in them ... if you can do that you’ll find your problems ... your pain ... will diminish simply because you’re not chewing yourself up thinking about them. Your problems won’t “go away” but sometimes your mind can puzzle out a problem on its own if you don’t concentrate on it. Or, you might find a “Self Help” book that will help you. I’ll come back later with perhaps some more suggestions for other things.

Has kicked the idea around on a per trade basis (ie. 100 shares of XYZ + 200 shares of LMN = 2 Transactions to tax is/was their idea) ... not per stock, per trade (ie. 100 shares of XYZ = 100 stocks to tax is the new idea). Of course, the problem they’ve always had is that they’re already taxing any increase of value at time of sale and you need to pay that when you file taxes.

Okay ... I was with you until that last paragraph. “... we should first fix the commercial-driven society...” I’m not sure that’s “fixable” or even that its desired to “fix” it. Commercialism that pushes the envelope of aspiration for more ... creates an incentive to desire, strive, achieve ... more. It not only presents people with a “Goal” but it pushes them to try to reach for ever higher levels. That’s not to say its the best “Goal” for one’s life but ... for many, until people become “enlightened” (if ever), its a “Goal” which is better than none. I think ... and have thought for a long time ... that Our Schools don’t teach stuff they really should ... life changing stuff. I had a decent job, I had people who owed me money (substantial amounts), and ... I was homeless. I lived in Company Work Vans, on the floor of a Locksmith Shop ... I bathed in the shop sink. Because of an auto accident I had not been the cause of, I had barely finished being over 4 years in hospital beds and wheelchairs ... I could ... barely ... walk or stand on my often reconstructed feet and ankles, I had not yet learned how to overcome the nerve damage in my right arm and hand and I’m right handed ... I agree that Addiction in almost any form is bad although there are a few which yield a positive result such as those people who are addicted to the endorphin rush created by physical exertion found in Gyms and various Workout Routines. I’ll grant you that “Addiction” is most usually a Net Negative ... Alcohol, Gambling, Drugs (legal or not) and, that list is endless. However, while it is certainly true that there are some percentage of people who are easily addicted or, become overly obsessed with many things, does that make those things a Social “Net Negative”? I drink alcohol ... I have a collection that is based on Single Malt Scotches and Cognacs that is easily in excess of $3500 in value plus about 4 cases of assorted beers and ales. In any given month my consumption probably is equivalent to 18 “drinks” (1 drink being the alcohol equivalent to 1 beer). I can hardly be considered an “Addict” by consumption rates. In fact, were I to consider myself “Addicted” to any Beverage it would be Coffee and Spring Water (that I gather myself from a specific spring). I am aware that there are many Alcoholics ... which I avoid being in the company of ... but does that make the availability of Alcohol a “Net Negative”? Remember, there were enough people at one time who focused on the “Net Negative” of Alcohol and made it Illegal and suddenly, MILLIONS of people who consumed alcohol were being told that, because of some people who couldn’t control themselves, EVERYONE Else had to do without. Addiction is a lack of the ability to control oneself. It is a moral, mental or emotional failing of the person who is ... who allows themselves ... to be, “Addicted”. At what point does that percentage of people become the reason that any particular action becomes considered such a “Net Negative” as to result in the “Removal of Access” for ALL? I am leery of people who take a subject ... any subject ... and turn it into a conversation of “SOME People who do X are BAD, therefore ALL People who do X must ALSO be ... NOT GOOD”. Interjecting the concept of “Addiction” into a conversation changes the entire conversation into one about “Addiction” rather than the merits or disadvantages of the Subject ... in this case, “CamGirls” which, apparently is being considered or relegated to “Visual Porn” in an effort to make it seem or sound “Dirty” or “Degrading” ... I object to your changing the subject.

Well, in my experience ... my accumulated knowledge over the years ... dealing with several types of areas ... MOST “Regular” Government Employees ... at ANY Level ... tend to be ... and Support ... Democrats. After all, where/how did they “get” those jobs? Even if it was a Republican Measure, the Bureaucrats who DISTRIBUTED the jobs were almost certainly Democrats who are quick to Take Credit for it ... quick to ensure a “Proper Level” of Gratitude is displayed. I think, that regardless of how much Pain is created, ALL “Government Employees” should be furloughed ... job segment by job segment ... until it can be determined EXACTLY How Many are ACTUALLY Needed and then, THAT Many (and NO more) be brought back on using a MERIT Basis.
