Having spent a few years basically “on the road” (no permanent physical address) but with easily marketable skills, (grill cook, construction trades) I basically hitch-hiked and bummed around looking at the USA and living off of cash in pocket. Then, in my later 20’s, having a good job but suddenly finding myself without a “home” through the fall, winter and spring in Brooklyn, NY, I think, it could be said that I’ve been “homeless”. Not to say that I was “homeless” like what most people see ... the wretched and wrecked refuse ... the dregs and leavings of society ... the ones who simply have given up on life ... on themselves ... still, I was “homeless”. If what I see as homeless people now are an example, I really have little sympathy for them. Most are receiving Government Funding and have available several different forms of Government (Taxpayer) Assistance and Aid Packages and Programs ... However, Living in the Streets ... being Homeless ... IS in many ways more expensive than alternatives. The closer you live to the Streets, the more expensive it gets but ... the further you get from the Streets, the less expensive it gets. You have to think in terms of Basic Economics. In the streets, you have to eat ... every “meal” has to be bought right now and mostly, consumed, right now with no storage options ... that’s expensive. Shelter is always questionable and, depending on what you’re using as shelter, there’s every chance you can be evicted by someone bigger, stronger or simply more “popular” than you. Arranging for shelter on a nightly basis ... even if its just a box ... can be “expensive” even if its only in time used doing that rather than something more “profitable”. If you’re stupid enough to be an addict to alcohol, to drugs, to cigarettes ... EVERYTHING comes at Full Retail Price (plus often an added Premium) TIME which is the Most Valuable item you have left is Squandered Wholesale if you’re basically in “Survival Mode”. Even if you’re reduced to begging (which I’ve never done) or scrounging for temporary work (which I have) ... everything else you have to do to keep yourself together detracts from your ability to “Make Money” ... Costs Time ... leaves you with fewer options. People who’ve never tried it have little understanding of the Expenses ... it doesn’t come CHEAP. It might seem strange to put this in this reply but ... Mankind ... Civilization ... really only began when We moved from being “Hunter-Gatherers” (ie. Homeless) to becoming “Agrarian” (Towns & Cities ie. “Home Owners”) Being Homeless is simply returning to one form or another of “Hunter Gatherer”

One of my long term girlfriends escaped from China to Hong Kong at 16 yrs old and got a green card as a Political Refugee to the USA at 19. I got to know her because I volunteered to help her study (in Ingrish) for her Citizenship Test. She became a Citizen at 23 ... her “Ingrish” has always been a bit of a challenge but I can speak many forms of “Pigeon”. We got started I guess because we worked for the same company in Manhattan and she lived not overly far from me in Brooklyn. Over time she told me much of her life in China which was later verified mostly by her brother and mother in Cleveland. The difference in life/lifestyle is really difficult to wrap one’s mind around if one hasn’t traveled ... and, really, even if one has. Long before I had read a book by Ayn Rand, We The Living as well as had a Bulgarian girlfriend which gave me what I thought was a great deal of understanding about Communism ... actually Totalitarianism with a “nicer” name ... but the time I spent, and the conversations I had, with the Chinese woman really put a completely different “face” on the subject. This gentleman ... I have known several Cubans ... tells a tale that honestly doesn’t get across the idea of how bad things were but he does a good ... powerful ... job of getting across the reality of how most Pre Obama Refugees felt about managing to reach Our Shores ... the heartfelt gratitude and Pride in Our Nation. Unfortunately it seems that the children of these people do not share the same values. Unfortunately it seems that most Obama Era refugees aren’t interested in US ... American ... values at all.

I actually did know Donald J Trump ... just because I was in construction supply while he was in building. We went to some of the same galas and trade shows ... not because I “knew” him or we were buddies ... I would say he wouldn’t recognize me, but he’s funny that way. Anyway, I never really “liked” him ... his style, his way of dealing with mostly sycophantic followers (butt kissers) ... but I learned to respect him, his depth of knowledge and his focus. I was on board from the moment he proclaimed he was running ... I’d’ve been for the Frito Bandito against Hillary ... but the last person I ever voted “FOR” was Ross Perot. I don’t trust politicians as far as I can spit into a Force 5 Gale and haven’t since I unknowingly gave Mondale my opinion of politicians when he was running ... Rather that than a Typical Politician who states one thing and sticks to it even though its actually wrong, while personally doing the opposite. I don’t recall him saying he’d use the military to “enforce vaccination” ... I recall him saying he’d use the military to “ensure distribution” ... but I could be wrong

Hanno ... here’s an odd but completely true story ... I had only recently started seeing a Chinese Girl who worked during the day in the same hardware company as I and then, worked a few hours at another company ... a clothing manufacturer ... nearby. One evening I stopped there to pick her up to catch dinner before she went home. She was doing detailing on garments ... shirts ... and I noticed that the shirt labels being put in in one batch said “Made in China” and another batch said “Made in Bangladesh”. Me, being perpetually nosey, asked her if the shirts weren’t being made there in that shop. She answered that, Yes ... couldn’t I see ...? So I asked, Why then, do the labels say “Made in ...” when they were being made in NYC, USA? She shushed me and told me “don’t ask these question” (she was still struggling with english). Within seconds a man showed up and asked her a question in Chinese ... and they had a short conversation. He wanted to know what I was asking. When he found out he was concerned that I would make problems but she assured him I would not ... that I was only a very curious guy ... He asked me if I really wanted to know why and, when I said I did, this is what he told me ... “If We make these shirts in the USA and sell them for even just $5, if there’s EVER any kind of problem with the shirt, people will make a Big Problem ... Make Bad Trouble ... send Letters and Phone Calls and ... We could sell the shirts “Made in USA” for $25 with no problem except those problems. So we “make” the shirt to say “Made in China” ... or Someplace Else and sell the shirts for $15. As long as the shirt is not “Made” here, people don’t care if there’s maybe some problem ... they Expect Problem so, if No Problem its Great Deal ... if Get a Problem its No Big Deal and they just throw away the cheap shirt. The company actually took a smaller profit on a perfectly serviceable shirt to avoid customer liability and hassles.

Well, I know there’s a lot of people .
