@Supra_Librix Firing is the least of anyone's worries. Fauci speaks as a medical professional. Heck, I've been told to quit jobs by highly regarded specialists. Unfortunately these people are looking at health and survival. Fauci is not an economist. Not his concern. Trump has tried always to keep hope alive. Most rail at that but optimism is a gift we all need during these dire times. Mnuchin has been an outright blessing as has Powell. I believe (IMHO) we will recover quickly, but not fully for quite some time. Only time will tell. The last two gentlemen have given us all the tools we need. Joe Schnook is the one who hopefully does not meet his economic demise while companies large and small figure this all out. Its all crystal ball gazing at this point as no one has ever experienced this. Praying for the best for all of us.

@DonProvolone If you look at my post from yesterday, I think something like "war bonds" after the dust settles, offering classic market rates (6%) for 10 year bonds and perhaps 4 or 5% for 5 years bonds, might be a way to offset the 3+ trillion all of this is going to take. For the average small investor, or non-investor, this would represent a pretty safe bet and way better results than what they normally get trying to play the markets.

Massive cash infusions (yes fake money as always) can put a halt to this and get individuals and corporations bolstered up to ride it out. Hell, its all printed money and we know that. You and I can use the cash in our wallets, but studies say quite clearly that vast majority of individuals don't even have $400 in savings for an emergency. Without the massive infusion we're going to see riots on top of collapsed medical systems and death. Chaos is not and never will be the answer. I'll ignore your other comment :)
