@Krunoslav The China connection is much bigger than people realize. Wall Street and the Big Banks have profited greatly by both investments in companies like Alibaba, and access to the substantial population China has for sale of its goods and services as well as cheap labor to produce products to sell to the US and world markets. Wall Street has been extremely vocal on Trumps attacks on trade deals with China as they don't want to anger the sleeping giant and access to its huge markets. The other aspect of China most have not paid attention to is the Confucius Institutes located in most major universities and its influence both in promoting CPR's objectives and thought paradigms as well as easy access to influencing American politicians. Two very influential politicians who have been bought and paid for are Andrew Cuomo and Bill DiBlasio of New York. I'd seen some time ago a video showing their direct connection to China through the Confucius Institute and the ready "purchase" of their support for China's social credit system. Pisses me off I can't put a link to that information here. You can bet the Institutes have been quite busy recruiting the support of politicians throughout the country on all levels. As a "respected" body within the Universities they have had full access to influence and "encourage" cooperation and support for China's ways of population control and influence. The Bidens are hoers and are easily bought... ergo manipulated. Ultimately this will result of more favorable trade deals as well as showing a blind eye to China's aggressions both with Taiwan as well as elsewhere. Just look at recent Chinese aggression against India, Tibet and actively building strongholds in the China Sea granting them far more control of major shipping lanes and all the countries bordering on the China Sea. As to selling out America, politicians on both sides of the fence are quite happy to sell out to the highest bidder from any country as long as their pockets are well-lined for the pleasure of the deals. Many of the Republican Never Trumpers are just that ... pissed that he is or will expose their traitorous activities. I agree that the military industrial complex has been quite harmed by his lack of war mongering resulting in a far less profitable Administrative Term ergo people like the Bushes and their ilk are confirmed Never Trumpers. I give Trump credit every day he's in office for his brazen attack on the ills of the "powers that be" at every level of the American Dream. I'm certain at times even he has been shocked at just how vast and diverse the rattle snake pits are. I admire his tenacity and I firmly believe he is the ultimate Patriot to whom we owe the greatest of respect. Without a second term I doubt any of this will ...

Oddly many of us who are die hard supporters of Trump are in fact traditionalists who recognize Trump's loyalty to this country and its traditions. His methods still can rattle the hell out of us but never our loyalty. Trump is a New York City street fighter and last night was an out and out slug-fest. @Edgework I know, it really is a catch all. Usually (1) an oddity in the ability to interact with others, (2) over-sensitivity/reaction to external input, (3) intellectual ability +/ - the norm, and (4) a possible prodigy factor. I have 3 out of 6 grandchildren diagnosed autism spectrum and each is affected in very different ways. In fact, of the 6 only one does not have a diagnosis of any kind. Very confusing at times. Years ago I worked with an extremely capable real estate paralegal. I have no doubt in my mind that she was autistic but as she was well into her 50's she had no diagnosis. She had a substantial string of oddities about her but because she was absolute perfection in her real estate deals she did well. Back then we just called such people "weird", "strange" or "eccentric". We have all heard MSM stories of people who found working with or for Trump to be a disturbing experience. Coupled with his ability to spot what others completely miss on the international scene and the strange limited speech patterns I think it is possible.

@TheMiddleWay Señor, usted es un superciliar que no juega bien en la caja de arena. As to a paralegal's work, I'll cut you a slice for not knowing. Lawyers engage paralegals not as secretaries but as persons who carry out all aspects that a lawyer would do short of court attendance. Once an attorney has done the initial consult with a client ALL WORK thereafter is created and done by the paralegal. Paralegals quite often are more competent at dealing with the red tape of legal matters, laws and the Courts' procedures than the attorneys they work for. Your ignorance in this field is very common so I'll cut you a slice. As to your medical history, your specialty is not virology but rather it is physics. This still does not change the U.S. practice of awarding payment based on whether a death was caused by COVID-19 or just exacerbated by it.

And again, the same old question, "and this surprises who"????
toronto_Georgia replies on Sep 15, 2020:
@Krunoslav I like those very much and I suspect my thoughts were similar as a parent. I never wanted my son to question in any way the fact that he was and always will be very loved. My own experience as a child being subjected to conditional love had a lot to do with that. I wanted him to deeply understand that: personal integrity was a must. respect for both ones self and others mattered a great deal. you are responsible for the choices you make and the subsequent results when his friends were dishonest and manipulative... I had him examine how he felt to be on the receiving end and how he wanted to conduct his own actions in that regard, and to recognize when others didn't. That trust was important and those who abused it were not to ever be held as close friends or respected authorities. whatever he experienced at school and with his friends or saw on TV was always a great opportunity to see what he thought, how it made him feel, how it hurt or helped him and others, and how to apply that understanding in life. I figured if he could reason his way through the repercussions of various actions and experiences that he might be better equipped later in life to reason through a good response or choice when faced with unknown predicaments he'd face going into the 21st century. He learned young to be able to fly on his own wings, to trust himself, and to know exactly what to do if things went awry or became questionable. He never went out without payphone money and knew as well that the police were safe harbor if I wasn't there he learned young how to handle money, how to save (including taxes required) in order to obtain something. The Food and a roof over the head were always first. That fancy labeled clothing were nothing more than free advertising for corporations. he learned that unfair teachers were to be treated like gaming masters ... pay attention to their crazy rules in order not to harm yourself, but don''t ever buy into their irrationality. Life was full of rules, some good and some terrible ... there were better ways to deal with or bring about change than impaling yourself on the rocks and complaining about it. no matter how tough it was I always told him the truth knowing that if I lied and he later found out that the penalty would be a total disrespect for all I had ever said I personally made sure I was utterly consistent, including with discipline ... the toughest item a parent deals with. To be inconsistent creates a no win situation where the child has to guess if now is a good time to challenge you. haha... enough of my musings

@Krunoslav LOL, all very interesting but I cannot wholly agree nor do I disagree. In my personal experience this has not really held up as well as one might think. I raised a son entirely by myself and today he is an accomplished young man (military officer) raising six children (only one of which is his) and doing a fine job. I was not an easy mother. My "rules" were simple but fully enforced. Although he was raised with a great deal of love he was also held to very high standards and harshly dealt with when at 16 he revolted and seemed somewhat menacing to me. Note he was more than a foot taller than me at the time. I promptly kicked him out of my home. After a full month staying with friends he requested admittance and was permitted to do so with some additional daily requirements he had not had before the event. To this day he thanks me for not putting up with adolescent bull shit. My sister and her husband, on the other hand, raised three children together. All three still live off of them (ages 37, 35 and 22) and refuse to take on adult responsibilities. Mother was overly enabling while father was for the most part physically present but responsible for nothing.. always blaming the wife for any and all events that might otherwise have required his fatherly example. I am well aware of the positive role fathers hold within the family unit, however not all men "man up" and carry those responsibilities well. Women can do it but it requires commitment and a high degree of self-discipline.

@Krunoslav I don't disagree with the points you raised here. Much like the whole current situation with those rioting, it is a mindset and poor mental housekeeping process causing much of this. I do not believe in re-education camps, but to some extent a process of re-education may well be needed. Victim mentality is a disease our society is suffering from. Until that thinking is addressed we are not likely to see much improvement. For most of us, circumstances beyond our control are what we deal with off and on through our lives and each of us learns to work strenuously to solve the riddle each event contains. Sadly it is becoming more and more common to use 'other' blame (easy peasy) than to find a way to rise again.

Comprehensive programs to end homelessness is the real start. Determining categories of reasons for homelessness.. and solutions for each subset are what it will take. Since there is no $$$ in it for anyone it will never happen. Further, there is a very American attitude which has always made the assumption that you alone were responsible for your misfortune. Yup, blame blame blame has never solved any crisis.

@WilyRickWiles "millions of people voted for Trump believing that he would take a hard line on all non-Anglo immigrants." WOW, you seriously believe that bullcrap. Most voters for Trump were excited that Trump was dedicated to re-energizing the American spirit and believed firmly in National Pride and bringing back the power and success the U.S. once enjoyed prior to globalism's takeover. As a land built strong by its multi-cultural immigrant base ... which included millions who initially did not speak English, it is absurd that you would make such a bigoted assertion. Elder people immigrating to the country most often do not learn English and are thus limited to their own small communities within the fabric of the whole. Age does not always favor learning a new language late in life. As to exterminating those who do not fully assimilate, that truly is a pathetic stance held only by the most ignorant of society ... the same people who most likely are incapable of learning another language themselves.

I do think he is absolutely right about the differences and, although I cannot quote studies I've read in the past (my bad), they can map brain activity that shows this to be the case and when the issue of real gender of a child is in question, the mapping is distinct enough to clearly show which brain wave patterns the child actually has. When it comes to gender assignment or re-assignment I'm hoping this kind of brain scan is checked, as often children have other reasons for thinking they were wrongly sexed. Tom Boys are a classic case of this ... even more so when the child sees it is more beneficial to be one sex rather than the other. As I child I was very much a Tom Boy ... but am grateful no idiot was pushing that envelope.

Your link brought me to something entitled: "הדת היא רעה לעולם. בהרבה שיחות על יהדות ואלוקות שמתקיימות בבית חבד עם מטיילים עולה הטענה שדתות הן רעות " then a bunch of unrelated stuff below that. You might want to fix...

Have you lost a good friend to the "Culture Wars"?
Obiwannosi comments on Jun 27, 2020:
Unfortunately, most of my relatives, my on-line friends, and my gal pal, are anti-Trumpers. Most every real life get-together ends in verbal battles. I'm sure a number of them have stopped reading my social media posts as well. No loss, cuz I don't read most of their posts anymore either, ...

Yes, for many it is surprising to find out what you really don't need but were in the habit of putting out for. The rest of your post sounds pretty much as it should be.

toronto_Georgia replies on Jun 26, 2020:
@warminster100 Absolutely! Navel gaze while Rome falls. On a completely different level, all the reality shows, the Dr. Phills, Geraldo Rivera's, all the base human infighting shows, the sports show, and now the "talking heads" main stream media amount to nothing more than entertaining the masses at the Coliseum. Distractions designed to keep you from actively being engaged in your life, your community and the politics and governance of your country. "Opps Squirrel" has become the norm and our downfall. Tell me, what of this "self-love mindfulness" movement. Just a twist on the above?

The film was done in 1984 ... rather prophetic of our current overnight full flip to Marxist ideology ... the training and source of thought for both BLM and Antifa, let alone AOC and the Dems. Trudeau policies as well. Exactly 36 years to full blown Marxist takeover.

I agree curvycom. We've sunk to the lowest when we wish ill on anyone, although I must say there is the odd Dem I have caught myself thinking rather shocking thoughts about. But no, let us never allow ourselves to be debased to that extent. Time to just back right off of all non-personal matters when we are tempted, and recenter our souls back to the light and good in life.

I have to agree. Not really sure how to do this but for sure it is damaging our health and our perspective. Lately I've been trying to just back the F off of all media and concentrate more on real life and what I now want to do with it. Been sucked in way too long at this point, doesn't help when you are also at the end of so many life chapters and trying to figure how best to author the next chapter in the overall shit show we find ourselves in. I'll be interested in comments to both your posting as well as mine which adds a bit of a kink (re chapters).

toronto_Georgia replies on Apr 12, 2020:
Interesting points. As to the Islamic population explosion and ideology, I seriously doubt education is even feasible in much the same way as your personal beliefs (skeptical atheist) cannot be "educated" out of you by the Bible thumpers due to your high level of commitment. The same is true of Islamicists, Evangilicals, and any other deeply held belief system, re-education is rather an arrogant construct. There are camps in every one of them that fervently believe everyone else is ignorant. Additionally part of the Islamification of the world includes excessive birth rate. Nope, don't think natural attrition is going to put a dent in the overpopulation challenge.

Chilling that anyone could speak in these terms!! Like they were exterminating rats. Very SS of them isn't it?
toronto_Georgia replies on Apr 12, 2020:
@johnlondon I suspect the "penal colony" aspect is true in North America as well as Australia, but far more prevalent in Australia. I do remember funny stories about shipping off the elite's problem offspring to Canada and giving them particularly large land grants to entice them to go and stop embarrassing their kin in merry old England. Lots of them have falsely been historically honored as heroic successful settlers and contributors to the "good" of society, hiding the true reason they settled in areas. Many as well were religious outcasts and excessive "vermin" from the slums of major cities. The Irish Potato Famine also saw massive exodus to the new world also encouraged by the elite. As to the SS, I have no doubt they are well ensconced throughout all governments. Evil hides in plain sight.
