He's taken lately to some pretty niave ideas about policing and several other issues. I am no longer all that interested in what he has to say. He's a businessman and commentator (talking head), not a reporter for quite some time. He is evolving and still has a great deal more evolving to do. We built "tractors" with wood frames domed by arched cattle fences, chicken wire and tarps, and moved them daily around our property. Lots of eggs and meat :) moving them daily is much healthier and the tractors protected them from all the assorted predators.

Prior to 1990 you could walk up to an officer in the street and he'd be pleasant, friendly. around about 90 we saw huge changes, the blue uniforms disappeared exchanged for black, the forces started buying crowd control equipment and were far more militarized than they had ever been before. By mid-90's if you spoke to an officer they were clearly suspect of your intentions and whether you posed a danger. I cannot imagine how bad it is now.

For those unfamiliar with the term, here is it's meaning: Noblesse oblige is a French expression from the times when the English Nobility spoke French and maintained in English meaning that nobility extends beyond mere entitlements and requires the person who holds such a status to fulfill social responsibilities. For example, a primary obligation of a nobleman could include generosity towards those around him. As those who lived on the nobles land had obligations to the Nobility, the Nobility had obligations to their people including protection at the least.
