Don’t confuse gay people with queer activists. There’s a major difference. “Queer” is 100% woke left. Dave Rubin is gay, and walked away from the left. Douglas Murray is gay and the opposite of a leftist. “White” author Bret Easton Ellis isn’t “gay” enough for the woke activists...

Conservatives have no problem with any of them, whether or not they are Left. Conservatives defend and protect the Constitution, which protects all of our rights. The Left hopes to characterize conservatives as bad as themselves, to even the playing field. We are not. They are lying. Who founded the KKK? Democrats. Who do they claim is from the KKK? Republicans. If you are paying attention, that is not the only lie they tell, just one of the most obvious.

govols comments on Mar 4, 2020:
It should also be said that the difference between a "moderate Democrat" and a modern "conservative" Republican is the same: time preference. Conservatives defend today as basic traditional values the very progressive agenda the moderates "came around" to help bring into policy.
TimTuolomne replies on Mar 4, 2020:
In the US, most of the "progressive" "Republicans" are those who have become concerned about the political gains of the Democrats, and concerned for their office, have moved Left. True Republicans are about preserving and defending the Constitution. Anyone who departs from that agenda is no longer a Republican, even if they make the claim in some way. Democrats have the always unstated claim of destroying the Constitution. Their stated claim is basically to promise that the government can provide everything for everyone. It doesn't matter that "Pretty soon you run out of other people's money," as said Margaret Thacher.
Oh the irony.

@MaskedRiderChris I agree. But even with their infighting, they seem sincere. Democrat leadership is historically cynical and corrupt. Libertarians at least are not corrupt, and are a valid perspective to balance Republicans. We may not agree with either party, but either are better than the level of corruption, violence, and destruction of Constitutional principles for which the Democrats are responsible...even proud.

Power hungry liberal leaders pander to the utopian idealists of their base, who are so gullible that they’ll believe anything leadership promises. And when leadership fails to deliver their promises, and blame it on conservatives, the mental midgets who actually believe in utopian ideals believe it.

@Cariboome The answer is, its in their best interests to remove Constitutional protection of your rights, because that is the ONLY thing preventing them from taking merciless advantage of you. Wealthy "liberals" have no interest in the little guy. Long enough to have already begun the dismantling of the core principles of our Constitution from within. So the arrival of the more visible Communists is more like the leaders of the conquerors finally visiting the conquered territory. FDR and Obama may not have realized it, but they were groomed agents of the Communists. (Wilson might have been the earliest.) We are very nearly lost to Communism. So much so that some Millenials can almost taste it. Ask them. The brilliance of that slow burning agenda is that just like the frog in hot water, many here still have no idea it has happened. What is interesting to me is that as we have moved Left, China has also moved Right. There is still a lot of difference, but the greater difference is now cultural, not so much political.

In the case of sexual harassment, the problem is the same as crazy people shooting others. It is narcissists who feel justified in harming the opposite sex. The Left is happy to reinforce the suspicion that all politicians are corrupt. It evens the playing field so those on the fence are oblivious to the party taking the high ground. If you bother to digest the platforms, you will find the Democrats promising things they can’t deliver and avoiding stating what they do: trying to destroy the principles that limit their power. @Naomi, Warming would be much better. If you search, it is easy to find authoritative articles that are persuasive that more CO2 is better for farming, forests and provides for a more comfortable environment in general. Among many other things, they cite the paleontological record that shows farming tools and sunsheds in Greenland for example. And the record clearly shows that high CO2 levels have repeatedly fallen in the past, so it is not the runaway train the "Chicken-Littles" claim.

There are many known fatalities associated with handling and re-packaging nuclear waste, and I suppose some unknown, given the secrecy of some political regimes. In the former Soviet Union, there is a lake that will remain unapproachable for a hundred thousand years due to nuclear waste that could not be contained. Look it up. There are similar problems with fusion. The Chinese claim to have controlled a fusion reaction has fallen under some question. And the experts I know are doubtful that the reaction will be controllable in any of our lifetimes.

@EAL_Flt1979 With all due respect, have you ever considered what just evacuating a small city would involve?? There probably isn't enough money in the defense budget to do it in any kind of timely manner (30 minutes is what missiles take to get here now,) without a huge loss of life. You might want to run some numbers before declaring how stupid it is that government isn't trying to save everyone. The answer is in returning to Constitutional principles. Political correctness dictating that we have equal respect for those who would trash the Constitution is the root of this stuff. Those who would throw out the Constitution and those who are watering it down want a free-for-all, and have not the intelligence to realize that it also means others get to violate their rights too. The ultimate result is unrestrained nuclear war.
