Every "church" is a human institution, and fallible the same way any company, corporation, private golf association, homeowner association or private club. The Catholic church in particular is so large that the statistical probability of a few percent of the population being unidentified sociopathic, means potentially millions of dangerous and unknown pathologicals in the church, as in every other large organization of the same size. Those opposed to Christianity will misuse that fact of human nature to justify their choice. Our relationship with God will define our future in eternity, and God will honor every choice, as must we Christians as well. We will surely mourn for them when they realize the enormity of their choice as we pass in different directions in the end times.

Lets get more specific. The Republican platform states their intention to protect and defend the Constitution. Their record proves that. The Democrat platform promises everything to everyone, and delivers none of it. But Democrats have a solid record of shredding the Constitution. Even though all pledge to protect and defend the Constitution, most Democrats are on record as immediately violating that promise. As one of the two parties, they are illegitimate, because they are disloyal to the Constitution. A more legitimate party would be the Libertarians. They are loyal to the Constitution, and still oppose many Republican policies.

@A1fredo, my impression is that we are both concerned about the same thing. But the filters through which we perceive what is happening are really important. There is a lot of deception coming from the Left, and the tactic is to get their opposition (us) to agree to any part of it, then find ourselves stuck in the web of confusion they have spun. "Accuse your opposition of what you are doing as you are doing it, to spread confusion." - Josef Stalin. The central tactic is to destabilize society and get us to abandon what actually works for lots of alternatives which we are unaware have already been tried before and have failed. So much the better to provide socialism as the answer.

@Sacha799. The unintelligent are fond of telling others what those others believe, and usually are incapable of making any other logical case for their argument. For example: Geneticists who have analyzed the gene sequence of SARS COV2, which causes COVID-19, are confident of three facts: 1.There are no markers which are unavoidable when genes are spliced (engineered). 2. The forensic path clearly shows a very old gene sequence consistent with a path through bats found in China, but no where near Wuhan. 3. A much more recent forensic path in the gene sequence of the virus shows that it went through the pangolin before jumping to humans. [virological.org] The R-nought value of SARS COV2 is 5.7 in 2.5 days, which tells us that the entire globe was exposed to the virus long before the West was even aware of its existence in China.* And that means social distancing and masks were an attempt to prevent exposure that had already happened. [healthline.com] Furthermore, 99% of those the virus kills are smokers and people of any age with serious pre-existing conditions. Its possible that the remaining 1% also have pre-existing conditions that are undiagnosed. This is why populations with high concentrations of smokers and illnesses, like Italy, have higher mortality rates than countries like Sweden. The numbers are still consistent partly because of the unusually long latency of SARS COV2. And partly because other things are still getting them. See "Multiple Conditions Increase Risk." [informationisbeautiful.net] So with a case base that could be 2000 times greater than reported right now, that makes the virus 2000 times less dangerous - far less than the common flu. SARS-COV2 is less dangerous to healthy people than driving. Not a very effective biological weapon. Doctors think no disease should be acceptable. And as medical doctors, they may be ignorant of the consequences of political decisions. Does COVID-19 kill people? Yes. The same people who doctors like Dr Fauci should expect to be taken out by the flu and pneumonia, etc, because of other infirmities, every year. 2,046,549 people died in the US last year of all causes except suicide. No special measures. 80,000 died of the flu in 2018, 116,000 in 1957 - when the population was 172 million, which makes it equivalent to 220,000 today, and we did not lockdown. Typically more than three times that die of tuberculosis and Hep A, than the flu every year. Headlines? Nope. Around 128,000 are now listed here as dying of COVID-19 in the US, almost all of whom could have been listed as dying of their pre-existing conditions. Most would have been listed as something else in any other year. Flu cases are below the baseline this year, according to the CDC. Fishy? Yep. Are the Chinese making the ...

@A1fredo, The "Left" in the US is two components: The power-hungry leadership, and their gullible idealistic utopian base, to which they pander. The base believe in their hearts that they are good people and that people who disagree with them are dangerous lunatics. And that is because their leadership does not want to be seen as who they are, and blame the results of what they actually do on Republicans. Their base actually believes this. Democrat leadership founded the KKK in 1868 to intimidate Southern blacks from voting for Lincoln, and assert that Republicans are KKK based. If you check, you will find almost no Republicans in the KKK, and mostly Democrats. So Democrats secretly form an organization and wear hoods to prevent being identified, and blame it on Republicans. That is not the only case that can be squarely made that the Democrat leadership is the party of deception. "Black Lives Matter" and Antifa are probably also probably leftist based, and the center of the Left in the US is now the Democrat party. Most of their followers have no idea, and think those of us trying to preserve the Constitution to protect THEIR rights, as well as our own, are obstructing their leadership in building an alternative government that will make everyone happy, and that they must try to force it on us "for our own good." That base is mainly composed of people who decide based on their feelings, and not facts. They are the perfect victims of their leadership, who has convinced them that everyone else is corrupt, so that their own corruption - when seen, seems unimportant. Their base of "sensitive" people are completely unequipped to understand and deal with the level of deception and cynicism of their leadership. Their leadership knows that they will be in power no matter what system prevails, so they don't care what it is or who they have to fool.

If you bother to look up the proven examples of voter fraud, it is dominated by Democrats, nearly 70 to one. Don't guess, then assert that they are the same. Why? Well, first look up the platform of the Democrats, and compare it to their voting records, and public statements. They don't match. Not even close. They are almost 100% deceptive. Then look at the Republican platform and compare it to their votes, and public statements. You will find that they match. They are telling the truth. Ask yourself: which party wants you to believe all politicians are liars? Its the party which lies the most of course, so they have cover. Hint: When you look this stuff up, don't rely on publications which actually place in their mission statements that they are socialist, so you know they are against Republicans. The New York Times proudly reported that 87% of the media are Democrats; the party of liars. The Washington Post publishes a list of "Trump's Lies" which if you examine it is a collection of half truths, statements taken out of context, and outright fabrications. If you believe in justice, do you think you are just when you simply say all politicians are the same without checking? No. That makes you part of the problem.

@TyKC. 1. FDR unconstitutionally threatening 9 Supreme Court Justices with removal if they did not vacate the Commerce Clause, which they did in 1942 in Wickard v. Filburn: the first and almost fatal Constitutional wound. The massive Federal Bureaucracy was born then the US Department of Agriculture was functionally turned into a kind of Communist Central Planner that could unilaterally dictate what farmers could and could not grow, without remedy. No longer Constitutionally protected commerce. 2. Affirmative action, which abrogated the concept of anyone being special under the Constitution. 3. Roe v. Wade, in which the Federal Government no longer respected the Constitutional right of the people over their own reproductive rights. 4. The LRRA, which "regulated" the insurance companies, driving 276 of them our of business by 1981, destroying free market forces (Communist Central Planning) and resulting in a quadrupling of insurance rates, and setting the stage for Democrats to force Obamacare down the throats of Americans in the dead of night. 5. The Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, which removed the right of Americans altogether of choosing their insurance, and functionally of choosing their health care. Constitutional protection of our rights now almost completely destroyed. These five are the most egregious and obvious, among hundreds of regulations, proclamations and bills passed by Democrats, destroying the Constitution. Where have you been for all of this?

TimTuolomne replies on Jun 26, 2020:
@Hanno, Yes, but this is new. The people are just giving in to it. Thomas Jefferson said that the Constitution will only stand because it is supported by the people. If the people of the United States are now no longer willing to stand up to liars and thugs who intend to steal elections, then our Republic is already lost. For New Zealand, I don't know what to say. The people have already chosen socialism. So Kiwis have traded their individual rights for social order, and that means hoping for benevolent leadership that is never corrupted. As anyone knows, we are all corruptible, so eventually, the social order will break down, in spite of expectations. The good news is that when it does, it is the chance for the people to start fresh and install a Constitutional Republic. That will be a while. Maybe a generation or more. For the US, it will take so long that I will no longer be alive when the people finally understand they've made a mistake, and attempt to overthrow socialism. Maybe many generations from now. Lives are always lost in such events. Very likely the US will be utterly unrecognizable by then. It will become just like the former Soviet Union, and there may not be much worth fighting for.

@Tycho. It is an error to assume differences in gene expression is due to genetic differences. You probably believe Polar bears are a different species than Grizzly bears. You would be wrong. Differences in size are not definition of race; they are often the result of stimuli that cause different genes to turn on and off within the same species. In fact that is among the most significant causes of cancer. In your theory, those with cancer would be a different species.

That would be consistent with the fanning of the fires of racism, blistering criticism by the media of anyone defending the Constitution, and fear-mongering that promotes the increased testing for the virus, while discounting asymptomatics, all of which seems to increase COVID-19 infections, while Deep State officials require that ALL deaths be reported as COVID-19.

The "ElectricSense" article is almost a complete fabrication. "...the World Health Organization (WHO) classified radio frequency radiation as a possible 2B carcinogen." isn't talking about 5G. Its saying that ALL radios waves are dangerous. Unfortunately, there is no support for that statement. And I searched for the "thousands of studies" that prove the danger. None were referenced in the article, and I found none in the literature that support the statement. I love it when people who have no technical background post an article that is almost completely fraud, then insist that everyone pay attention. @curvycom. While I agree with you in principle, there are things which are possible to do, and things that can never be realistically accomplished. Changing birthrates is a good example, without tyranny. There are other things that are not advisable at all, like abandoning the greatest concept of governance ever devised - as if it should be possible to change human nature by legislation, in favor of "some (unknown) alternative." That is some kind of naivete! And branding both Capitalism and Communism with the assumption of evil equivalence is as ignorant as one can get. Socialism has been endlessly tried in the name of an alternative, in spite of having cost 100 million lives. That is what trying an unproven alternative usually does, when not "fixing" the best than be done to govern human nature, is the clear and obvious course. The most breathtakingly dumb idea is Globalism. Accountability breaks down in larger agencies. Everyone knows that. Organizational studies endlessly prove it. So what fool thinks a global government can possibly be accountable or fair? Very wealthy people who have a lot of power and want more will love a Global government, because it will be far easier for them to buy it covertly, and your rights will disappear completely. Globalism is nothing more than returning to feudalism - like all of us but a few lords in castles are indentured slaves for the rest of our lives.

@A1fredo in 1942, the President of the US, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, violated the Constitution by threatening all 9 Supreme Court Justices with removal if they did not agree to decide against the Commerce Clause of our Constitution. The Justices caved, and the public didn't notice. Farmers did. From that day forward, an unaccountable Federal Bureaucracy was born which could unilaterally dictate what farmers could and could not grow. That was the beginning of a massive federal bureaucracy that dominates the US today, more like communist central planning than our original Constitution. Mexico is different because there is no similar Constitution that has three equal and opposed branches, which support the country like a three-legged stool. That means opposing forces can't dominate making or interpreting law, or control the army independently here, which discourages corruption. The Mexican Constitution does not contain those safeguards, so corruption is actually part of the culture of the government, from the President all the way down to the local Federales. Much easier for Leftists to infiltrate and pay off whoever they need to drive socialism - including employing the drug industry. Only the people rising up as one against the government and the drug industry can change what is happening, and just like here, blood will almost certainly be shed. What's amazing is that this has all happened before, dozens of times, at the cost of a hundred million lives in Russia, Germany, China, Korea, the Congo, VietNam, Cuba, Venezuela.... But that doesn't stop these utopian monsters from doing it again to us.

@2FollowHim. I will only say what I know for sure. Firstly, China normally does not limit large numbers of Chinese from traveling back and forth from nations with which it has business interests, including Italy and Iran. I saw a report that 60,000 Chinese traveled into the World between 17 November and New Year's Day. 40,000 of them to the US. Chinese officials still thought they could control it as of the end of December, when they forced Dr Li Wenliang to sign a statement that he was mistaken about a dangerous virus in Wuhan. It seems unlikely that they would attempt that if they knew what was really happening. There are unconfirmed reports that a deadly virus was stolen from a viral research lab in Canada by Chinese nationals. The latency of SARS-CoV2 is now thought to be as long as two months or more. So even though there were very likely enclaves of isolated populations which remained unexposed longer than the World, those populations could have been exposed much later by the asymptomatic with lingering viral loads - explaining cases still developing even today. The high death rates in some countries occurred where populations of smokers and people with pre-existing conditions were high. Lower death rates occurred in places like Sweden with lower numbers of smokers and fewer with pre-existing conditions. This proved that social distancing was wrong. The true death rate of COVID-19 will later be known as far lower than the flu. We badly overreacted, and should not let it happen again.

Part of his blueprint is the victimhood card. https://youtu.be/rSHL-rSMIro Remember that Classic Liberals were about liberating individuals, not sacrificing them for order imposed by the State. Today's "Liberals" and "Democrats" call themselves those deceptive names as if they are about individual rights, when they are actually about imposing social order on a society they intentionally break and blame its failure on Republicans.

That has not been established, and is not so just because you say so. It is true that the leader, Jonathan Greenblatt, is a Leftist who has made some unfortunate statements. I do not support the ADL.

@HatedDixieFan. No he wasn't. Neither is Gates, who is also a fan of eugenics. Or Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, whose eugenics ideas were used by Hitler to kill 6 million people. Considering any of that just or rational, is immoral and anti-Constitutional. I invite anyone who does not support the Constitution to go somewhere there isn't one, and leave us alone.

Trump’s first term is almost over. What grade would you give him?
TimTuolomne comments on Jun 17, 2020:
Grading anything is against standards: 1. How other presidents have done in general. Trump rates 95%. 2. Compared to Congress. 100% doesn’t quite cover how much more effective Trump has been than Congress, both by his Constitutional mandate, and his own promises. 3. Foreign policy. ...

@Afterthought...and rating Trump has to do with that How? Believe it or not, you might have to connect the dots for some of us who actually check what the media says and know that 98% of it is either partially true, out of context, or completely untrue. I'm guessing you might be someone who actually believes that stuff.

TimTuolomne replies on Jun 14, 2020:
No, "race" - as in genetic differences beyond eye color, hair color, skin color and all that stuff that are minor differences, do not exist. Ask any geneticist. It has been known for decades. Where have you been? Cultural differences do exist. Calling cultural differences "racial" differences is not accurate, nor useful. And here's a useful tip: Progressives and the general media want to continue to fuel the myth of "race." Don't be a fool by letting them get away with it and repeating their bullsh*t.

@Tiger. Dude, the human genome has been sequenced for how many decades now and you are still thinking there are races??? There are no races unless you also include eye color and blond hair as separate races. Those are the only kinds of differences among humans. Ask any geneticist. But the Left doesn't want you to know that, so to verify this, go to a real source, not CNN, K?
