I totally appreciate quasi or no religion growing up. I think I would have died in a Catholic family or church. At least emotionally. I think I would have totally turned off any diety, forget it. I thus maintained the bible was a dry bones book, kept out of sight. Many years later, over a period of about 7 years, I was Led to the bible. Always rejected EVERYTHING, EVERYONE unless somehow proven to me. I had many fine professors who proved themselves and our respect seemed mutual. I found the bible, focusing first on NT, Jesus clear yet astoundingly different. Hard to do. But where ALL ELSE did poorly, NT counsel WORKED. You'd think I'd see that, once and for all!! Nope. Seems like every time, I have to 'swallow' my pride, bite the bullet to DO it. It WORKS, then away it goes into the mists until I pull that phrase out again. So any horrible lies in the RC belief. NOT to say some don't find it is fine for them. I've seen it. I am sola scriptura, which is not as 'interpretative as some think. Jesus was sometimes clear, sometimes more hidden. You know how crazy it got this year: Covid-19, masks, lockdowns, no travel. The bible really has helped me have some kind of road map. I still don't like the map! But I know it's got to be done. Person very offended, so, didn't hear what I wanted said. Choose ONE. No. So, hate COLORS within, distorts, so end it, you sense it anywhere, out. Toxic. I don't allow it. Unhealthy. Unworthy of me, Goes certainly to UNPLEASANT, but not hate. Life is far too short.
