In the film "Intersteller", America goes backwards in technology.
In 1969 America landed on the moon. Imagine asking the people of that time to predict what we would be doing in space in 2021. People would have predicted a colony on Mars. People would have predicted that bold explorers would be taking selfies on Titan.
No one would have predicted that we would never go back to the moon. No one would have predicted that we would give up on the Space Force.
Every human that has walked on the moon has since died of old age. There are no living humans that have walked on the moon.
It's as though Columbus, having discovered The Americas, had gone back to Spain and not mentioned it.
Kids in the 1970s grew up watching The Flintstones and The Jetsons. Both great shows. The Jetsons filled kids with hope. Kids were expecting flying cars to be ready by the time they grew up. Where are the flying cars?

This is happening everywhere. Schools are adding required courses on race, and this steals from a student's ability to take serious classes.
When I was at U. Wisconsin, the evil leftist President Donna Shalala instituted a required class on race. The Objectivist Club fought it (I was a member and in the fight) and we lost. We had to take the race class up the ass.
I feel that universities should not have course requirements that are outside the major. STEM majors should be free to take as many STEM classes as they want and not be impeded by humanities and race classes. All these required humanities classes are like organized crime, where humanities professors steal from STEM departments.
STEM departments should steal from the humanities. They should offer their own humanities classes. They'll be better.
STEM departments should secede from the university and create an Institute of Technology.

When I was at U. Wisconsin, the evil leftist President Donna Shalala instituted a required class on race. The Objectivist Club fought it (I was a member and in the fight) and we lost. We had to take the race class up the ass.
I feel that universities should not have course requirements that are outside the major. STEM majors should be free to take as many STEM classes as they want and not be impeded by humanities and race classes. All these required humanities classes are like organized crime, where humanities professors steal from STEM departments.
STEM departments should steal from the humanities. They should offer their own humanities classes. They'll be better.
STEM departments should secede from the university and create an Institute of Technology.
