Soldier in combat have a basic job, move forward and kill anyone who resist. A cop has to go into a situation and determine who is the bad guy and try to subdue him without injuring him/her. Both jobs require that you go "into dangerous situations over and over again" So, why when someone is killed or injured the cop is wrong (or at least treated like he/her is) and the soldier is a hero with the same outcome. Why is the judgment required to be different? Decisions in both situations are made in a split second.

Have you ever played the game where one person whispers a sentence to another person and that message is whispered to another and so on, through 6 to 10 people. If we start down this road, where does it end. All races have done terrible things to other races at different time and location in history. We are no different. Once we start reparations for slavery in the USA, do we pay the Native Americans, the legal Japanese (WWII), the Jews, and the list goes on. In the past, a really long time ago, when I first became a LEO, Judges didn't have to have a law degree or be a member of the BAR. Judges were elected by the people based on their ability to use "common sense". Things worked a lot better then. Maybe if we got the lawyers off the bench, we would get decisions that we could under stand. I saw one of these judges throw a lawyer in jail, I got to book him, for telling his client that he did not have to appear before he judge.

Watch "Killing Seattle" produced by the liberal KOMO tv station. Not enforcing the law is causing the down fall in most cities. I even see the lack of enforcement here in South Dakota, of all places.
