MY PERSONAL WARNINGS RE THE FUTURE:

I believe we are in for some very tough times over the next several years. I have assessed our personal situation. Yes, we are armed. Hopefully there is no reason for us to exercise our need for such. (Upstate NY).

What no one is saying, and I'm pretty sure given the times and projecting into the future, the wise will prepare.

1. The most substantial portion of the population affected by this economic shutdown is the below $50K income earners. They will be lucky if they ever recover from this.

2. If you are wise you will take your "government handouts" (this $1,200) and take a portion of that money to invest in FOOD for the times to come. Take a portion and invest it in as much "meat on sale" at the grocery stores as you can find over the next several months, and as much as you can in produce you see at local farm produce stands (not the farmer's markets that are over-priced) to collect and put aside for the year ahead, both on your shelves and in your freezers. Vacuum freeze bags and equipment are great for this. If you don't know how to properly do this, then join sustainable farming groups on FB and ask... or check your local agricultural links for info on proper "how to's".

We are in for very tough times. Very expensive times.

We, at the lower end, will find ourselves hungry if we do not think ahead. Sharecroppers are being denied their usual H2 Visas. Crops will not be harvested, heck they may not even be planted in time. Prices of meat have been rising substantially for the last few years and will only get worse this year.

Economically, those under $50K earners will be left with bad debt and likely little or no income for months and months into the future, enough to set you behind for years and years to come.
