AntiFa involvement in DC Capitol being identified.
JacksonNought comments on Jan 7, 2021:
The people in the right photo are Jason Tankersley and Matthew Heimbach, out and proud neo-Nazis. There's a popular rumor that Tankersley has a hammer and sickle tattoo on his hand, therefore proving he is ANTIFA - this is actually false, as it is a tattoo from the video game Dishonored. https://mashable.com/article/antifa-conspiracies-trump-mob-january-6-capitol-debunk/

Trump specifically said in his speech earlier in the day, "we're gonna walk down... and I'll be there with you..." And yet he wasn't there with them. When they rallied and stormed the Capitol, he was nowhere to be seen. He was at home watching cable news, Tweeting. Maybe he should have talked to them, they were his people, right?
US Capital Shooting of unarmed protestor
JacksonNought comments on Jan 7, 2021:
I hope you had the same outlook when it was unarmed Black men being shot, and BLM protesters being shot. I completely agree, there was no need for the woman to be shot, and it was a travesty. But, you can see how trying to force your way into a federal government building, in an angry mob, after battling and shoving your way past police, can be seen as a threatening act worth defending yourself from? She may have been unarmed, but she was in a giant mob which could have easily overtaken and severely hurt someone. She shouldn't have been trying to storm the Capitol. Those are similar excuses I have seen many on the Right use when it was BLM or ANTIFA. So I wonder why it has changed for many now...
Your 2nd Amendment rights matter . Don't give up the right to shoot back .
JacksonNought comments on Jan 7, 2021:
Hahaha, pretty old meme. Remember when Conservatives freaked out thinking Obama would take all of their guns away... only to not do that? And Trump has actually been harder on guns than Obama, saying things like "take the guns first, go through due process second".
NEW: Trump has been suspended from Facebook for 24 hours.
JacksonNought comments on Jan 6, 2021:
What is war? With who? A private company, with no ties to government or policy, decided to suspend Trump on their platform, which is their right.
F ALSE FLAG You don’t breach a place like the capitol building.
JacksonNought comments on Jan 6, 2021:
Which is why popular Right Wing personalities streamed at the event? Perhaps it's because Trump was right, the cops love him. So they clearly supported the violence (I mean if they were Black people they'd already be dead) and sent them to do it.

JacksonNought comments on Jan 6, 2021:
Multiple bombs found at the Capitol, DNC, and RNC. There are videos of the terrorists breaking windows, attacking reporters, destroying cameras. A woman was shot and has died. And I notice your excitement. Your constant "tick tick tick" posts just giggling with glee that there would be armed insurrection by you sore losers. Only you are happy about this. We are upset and disappointed, and quite dumbfounded (though not really) that you people were "Back The Blue" during BLM protests, but now are anti-cop during this... and that there is pretty much no police response to the current madness, when you had police beating people this Summer for sitting at a violin vigil.

They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. Actually, we still say that in 2020 there is Russian election meddling. That doesn't mean the outcome was changed by Russian hacking, votes were changed or destroyed or anything. It just means there was a clear campaign by Russian trolls to spread disinformation and try to influence the election. It happened in 2016, it happened in 2020. Just look at Krunoslav, from Croatia, who posts anti-Biden essays on this site daily.
Feminists of The Future Nope.
JacksonNought comments on Jan 5, 2021:
Wow, someone is bitter. Who hurt you? Feminism specifically wants equality for women, including equal opportunity in the workplace. In fact, it is the traditional Evangelical Conservatives who rail against Feminism because they believe women only exist to be married and in the house raising children, and should not be allowed to get educated and have careers. If you want everything you list, then you should support Feminism. However, women can get money for dates and sex with men, which is legitimate sex work, and supports women working and creating wealth. So you should support that as well.
MAGA meets the Satanic Panic of the 1980s. [youtu.be]
JacksonNought comments on Jan 5, 2021:
Holy crap, hell must have frozen over, because for once I am in full agreement with Paul. I've been dismissing this new Satanic Panic nonsense ever since "Pizzagate" and the QAnon lunacy. One clarification, though, the original Satanic Panic definitely did not end after the McMartin trials. First, McMartin lasted 7 years, going from initial accusations in 1983 to the end of the trials in 1990 (with all charges dropped), so it wasn't as if it was a brief misunderstanding. Even so, we still saw accusations of Satanism and related moral panics years after, including after the Columbine massacre in 1999. It was wide-spread across the US, with phony "experts" like Lawrence Pazder perpetuating recovered memory therapy and holding seminars to teach police how to determine when SRA (Satanic Ritual Abuse) was involved - including predatory interview tactics with impressionable children. There were plenty of continued accusations for years. The D&D example you brought up relates to Patricia Pulling, who founded "Bothered About Dungeons & Dragons" in 1983 after he son killed himself a year prior.

JacksonNought comments on Jan 4, 2021:
It is possible that, much like the Tulsa rally, interest in the rally is heavily inflated online, and only a fraction will actually show up. But those who do show up I am sure will be the unwavering Trump sycophants. You will have many armed "y'all queda" cosplayers, Q conspiracy nuts, and plenty of COVID-deniers who will be cramming together and causing a fun super-spreader event. I am sure they will walk around acting tough. You'll probably see some white-power Nazi salutes. If there are counter-protesters, I am sure there will be plenty of armed threats against them, and I am sure violence will be started - of course the Trumpers will be the instigators. Also pretty sure we'll see those former "back the blue" people do a nice heel-turn and start complaining when the police start to deploy the same tactics against them that they did with BLM protesters.

One of the most interesting things Biden has said over the last few months is.
JacksonNought comments on Jan 1, 2021:
Both sides are guilty of their own narratives and biases. It is the height of cognitive dissonance to peddle a narrative that Progressives live in an alternative reality and Conservatives are strictly fact-based. Just look at Ben Shapiro, Conservative poster boy and "facts don't care about your feelings" hypocrite. > "Ok, you have these religious principles, is there any justification outside of 'the Bible says so' for why this is correct... As a religious person, I believe that God didn't create stupid rules. So if you believe that God didn't create stupid rules, then you have to come up with some sort of justification for the rules that are being expressed." > > Ben Shapiro, explaining why he uses his FEELINGS to form his "facts". Let's not forget the whole "alternative facts" term was birthed when Kellyanne Conway, Trump's Senior Counselor, tried to defend a provable lie from Trump's Press Secretary. Let's also not forget the hundreds of provable lies and hyperbole spewed from Trump's mouth which his sycophants make excuses for, anything to not have to admit Trump is wrong in any way. The whole QAnon conspiracy is nothing more than bending over backwards to avoid any negativity towards Trump. The GOP is the party of borderline Christian theocracy, trying to erode freedom in favor of Bronze Age fairytales, and they are supposed to be the party of facts? The GOP continues to stand by their provably false insistence of trickle-down economics. They support the border wall to stop illegal immigration, which is also based in fantasy. They think Biden is a senile dementia-ridden skeleton who needs to be on constant drugs to form a full sentence, but at the same time is a mastermind of an extremely coordinated voter fraud conspiracy... while at the same time dismissing Trump's slurred words or ramp troubles or mini-strokes. They think Biden is full of nepotism and corruption, while dismissing Trump's bold-faced nepotism and clear corruption. They think Trump supports the troops and is the most patriotic president ever, despite his dodging of the draft, comparing his sexual exploits to Vietnam, attacking veterans and gold-star families, and calling soldiers "losers and suckers". They think the man who wears bronzer, spends $70k on his hair, and is obsessed with his appearance and petty gossip, is a "caricature of hyper-masculinity". They think the New York coastal elite billionaire with gold-plated toilets, who destroyed small businesses by refusing to pay for contracted work, actually cares about the common working man. They think the man who bragged about intentionally walking in on naked underage girls, and was friends with Epstein and wished Maxwell well, is trying to combat pedophilia. They think the man who has never read a Bible in his ...

How important is Christianity to the future of the Western world?
JacksonNought comments on Dec 24, 2020:
As a proponent of religious freedom, I think it's fine for people to believe / practice Christianity if they so wish; to them it is fundamental, and that is fine and dandy for them personally. However, I think as a whole Christianity has outlived its usefulness in society, and it should go the way of Greco-Roman, Egyptian, Norse, and Aztec mythology - confined to the history books. We have seen how many of the "moral" teachings have become outdated and no longer relevant, with people corrupting it to try and oppress populations. Political parties should stop pandering to Christians and recognize that there are other religions in the western world, and to live in a truly free society means not forcing people to follow one particular dogma.

I agree. Serving in office used to be an inconvenient public service, much like jury duty, where one would put aside their personal prospects to focus on the country. Now it is a career path to skirt insider trading laws, get fat lobbying paychecks, and shape the country to set rules that line your personal pockets at the detriment of the American people. We need to remove the plutocracy / kleptocracy.
Our Constitution is not broken but our system of Representative democracy is clearly damaged.
JacksonNought comments on Dec 22, 2020:
We need to dismantle the electoral college, or at least re-think it. Every cycle, there are really only a few states that really matter, and often millions upon millions of votes are discounted because of sparsely populated states. We also need to change our representation, as two senators for Montana (1 million people) doesn't mean we should have only two senators in CA (40 million people). We need to take all money out of politics, no more millionaires and billionaires setting the rules, and limit the election cycle to a few months. We should also remove the stranglehold the Democrats and Republicans have on America, and start giving third parties more national attention and a spot on the debate stage.

Haha, what a load of crap. First the whole loyalty nonsense in the beginning. Trump is loyal to a fault? Are you kidding me? Is that why he agreed to pay contractors for work in his hotels and casinos, and then when the bill came due he refused and sued them to he wouldn't have to pay, essentially bankrupting several small businesses to the point that no one will agree to work for him? Is that why he kept throwing people under the bus to protect himself, like Cohen, Bolton, Bannon, Tillerson, Mattis, Kelly, Sessions, Sondland, McMaster, Scaramucci... I could go on. His obsession with loyalty is a one way street, where he expects people to sacrifice everything to support him unequivocally, no matter what he does. A true leader would be humble and accept criticism and being told when they go astray - Trump only wishes to be surrounded by yes men and an echo chamber. Also this notion that people who support Trump are "patriots" and those who don't are "traitors" is serious authoritarianism. I thought you people didn't support polling and predictions? Yet now you want to claim the election must have been fraudulent because Trump *should have* gotten 80 million votes and 400 electoral college votes, while Biden *should have* gotten only 20 million votes and 100 electoral college votes? Where did you get these numbers from, a crystal ball? Are we really supposed to just take Trump's incoherent Tweeting as fact, and throw out millions of valid votes and just hand him the election? Again, pure echoes of dictatorship. The cognitive dissonance here is mind-boggling. Now you want countless investigations and you think we should want to ensure the integrity of the election. But of course when we were investigating Russian collusion and the Ukraine call, it was all a "sham" and a "hoax" and a "waste of time" that should have been blocked and shut down immediately. Funny how you only pretend to care about integrity when it is in an attempt to benefit yourselves. Also, this video is straight-up misleading. Just like the Texas lawsuit, Powell's lawsuit is *docketed* with the SCOTUS - there is no guarantee they will hear it, and they will most likely throw it out for similar reasons: no standing, and a total lack of evidence. Just accept it. Trump lost, Biden won. You'll have at least 4 years to to complain and fear-monger, what you do best. Though you, Krunoslav specifically, are not a US resident or citizen and have absolutely no skin in the game, so perhaps you should stop trying to commit foreign interference in our election.

It depends on what they tell me. If they tell me something I already know, or something that has been already backed up by mounds of evidence and empirical data, I tend to believe it. If it is something personal about them, I might believe it if they didn't have a track-record for lying, but if it is anecdotal evidence I wouldn't necessarily apply it to a larger purpose. My default mode is to always be skeptical, and to double check for myself. To play into the "Left" part of this group, I don't believe Conservatives when they tell me what "Liberals" think. I don't believe people who tell me the "truth" about their god or Christianity. I don't believe people who say Trump won the 2020 election.
Can only white people be racist?
JacksonNought comments on Dec 18, 2020:
It really does come down to the definition. If we are talking the USA, and institutionalized racism, then yes it really only applies to white people, because they are the majority and have power and privilege. Just as saying if we are discussing institutionalized sexism in the USA, it only applies to men. USA institutionalized religious bigotry - only Christians. If we talk about the "ism" in general, as in racism is being prejudiced based on race, then yes any race is capable of being racist towards another.

Hahaha, this coming from the guy who thinks Biden is going to come out and concede the election to Trump any day now. And you think you can speak about objective truth? Hell, every one of your posts is about your "feelings" of blind rage over people who disagree with you.

JacksonNought comments on Dec 17, 2020:
These tantrums are pretty funny (though mostly sad) as you make it out like this is a new mindset for Conservatives, just your way of retaliating for how Trump was treated in his term...as if you didn't spend every second of Obama's term insulting every little thing he did (including wearing a tan suit or putting mustard on a burger), claiming he was a "secret Muslim" and not born in the US and not a legitimate president, spreading rumors that he was gay and Michelle was really a man, constantly fear-mongering, and everything else you accuse Liberals of doing. As per your list... #3, Biden released 22 years of tax returns. Trump hasn't released his, still uses the phony "they're all in audit" excuse. Trump claims he paid hundreds of thousands more than the $750 in taxes he is accused of, yet refuses to prove it. It took investigators to find Trump's secret Chinese bank account, and the hundreds of millions of dollars of debt he has with *someone* - not the US. What is he hiding? #5, still clinging to your false narrative that somehow rioting, and ANTIFA, are some sort of Soros funded organized plot, hm? #8, I thought you snowflakes were already crying for your safe spaces the past 4 years? You couldn't bear to here anything negative about your glorious leader. And now you cry about being told your guy lost. #9, while you cry about Democrats trying to help the less fortunate and create social safety nets, the Republicans are taking your tax dollars to give millionaires and billionaires tax cuts so they can get bigger bonuses, giving billions in PPE to wealthy megachurches and Trump and Kushner, lining the personal pockets of Trump with his golf trips, and trying to kick millions of paying Americans off of healthcare. #11, when your 401K crashes, it will be Trump's fault for trying to give you a few extra dollars *now* while planning for a harsh reality *later*. #12, haha, again with the "Socialism" bogeyman. Yeah, that's why Biden won the primary and is not the President-Elect, the most hardcore Left-Wing Progressives are criticizing his platform and cabinet picks. I guess that means Republicans voted in Authoritarianism in 2016? #13, you do realize the President doesn't control the price of gas, right? #14, hmm, I don't know, trying to steal an election and hand it to Trump is pretty serious, even if they didn't break a window. But if you want violence, perhaps you should have joined the Proud Boys in DC, as there have been multiple accounts of violence erupting. And this former cop who ran a man off the road and threatened him with a gun thinking he had a hand in election fraud https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/16/us/former-houston-captain-vigilante-voter-fraud-incident/index.html. #15, yeah, pretty sure most people ...

Not surprising honestly. That is why you should wear disposable masks you can throw away, or have cloth ones you can wash after using.

Do you have a "line in the sand" regarding political or social change?
JacksonNought comments on Dec 15, 2020:
I'd say a line in the sand is trying to turn my country into a theocracy, most likely a Christian theocracy. I would certainly fight against it in whatever legal avenues I could. If that didn't work, I'd give my life to defend the freedoms of others.
Forcing Taxpayers to Fund Abortions?
JacksonNought comments on Dec 15, 2020:
Don't see why you care. You don't live in the US, your money isn't funding anything here. However, for those of us who do live in the US, we cannot choose how our taxes are spent. Someone may object to their taxes funding someone's abortion - and currently they wouldn't have to worry, because of the Hyde Amendment. But if someone doesn't want their taxpayer dollars used to buy another tank to go kill people in a frivolous war, they are out of luck. I don't have children, yet my taxes go towards educating other people's kids. I'd prefer my tax dollars not go towards Trump golfing 150 times, or having his Secret Service stay at his hotels and line his pockets. A third of taxpayer funding for sexual education goes towards "Abstinence-Only" programs, which are not held to any standard, and can teach factually-incorrect information like "condoms cause cancer" - these are public school programs, funded by my tax dollars, which are spreading disinformation... and I have no say in this. The Catholic Church received billions of dollars in COVID relief, funded by taxpayers, and I couldn't object. The SCOTUS ruled that taxpayer-funded grants can go to private religious schools, like to upgrade their playground equipment, and I can't opt-out. So cry me a river that Democrats want to remove the Hyde Amendment. Maybe Christians can now experience what it is like to have your taxpayer dollars used for things you object to.

Have some free time today, so I thought I'd comment on this. 1. This is fine. I am glad he enjoys living in America. I do as well. But I can recognize that America isn't the greatest country in every area in all ways. There are definitely countries with better education systems. Better healthcare. Higher rates of happiness. Less divisive political atmospheres. Shorter and smoother election cycles. Less religious bigotry. I am happy to be an American, but there are plenty of people in other countries who are happy they are not. 2. This is good, though I wonder what qualifies as "pursuit"? Does this mean you are free to do what makes you happy, but not guaranteed that it will indeed make you happy? If so, I agree with this one, no arguments. Though since this was in 2013, and same-sex marriage was not yet legal (on a federal level), I wonder if he meant something else. Was Rowe okay with this, as homosexuals were allowed to sue for equal protection, but not guaranteed it? 3. I don't agree with this. There can definitely be bad jobs. Perhaps more bad job situations / environments instead, as you can definitely be in a toxic work environment. Unpaid internships, harassment, exploitation, etc. I also think a job can definitely be bad if it pays less than a living wage, while also requiring so much of your time that you can't even get a second job to make ends meet, that you can't take a sick day without risking getting losing your home or going hungry for a day. But again, that might be more situational, not inherently the job itself. I am not sure. I do think it is comical that some staunch Conservatives would clap at this "ethic" when it literally means sex work is a valid job. 4. Any job *can* be done with passion and enthusiasm, but it should not be required. You do not have to love your job flipping burgers as long as you do your job well. You can see a job as a way to make ends meet. Being passionate and enthusiastic should not be a requirement, and it is fine to dream bigger. Isn't that what the "American Dream" is all about - always dreaming for bigger success, working your way up in life? 5. This is good, in theory. But sometimes debt is necessary. Doctors usually incur a fair amount a debt for their schooling, an investment that they will be able to pay it off with the fruits of their efforts. Same with getting a loan for a business, buying a house, a car, etc. If everyone followed this, we'd all be eating beans in tents. 6. I am okay with this mostly. At the end of the day, we are responsible for our own wellbeing. That doesn't mean, as a functioning society, we can't take efforts to ensure others' safety. For example, you can't blame someone for getting injured in a car crash because a drunk driver hit them, saying they could...
I find it amazing that so many people still think Barack Hussein Obama was great president.
JacksonNought comments on Dec 14, 2020:
Sounds like a terminal case of Obama Derangement Syndrome. Yeah yeah, I know, "BLACK MAN BAD" and all that. He could have cured cancer and you'd find some way to make it a negative. I mean, isn't that the argument we get when we criticize Trump? To coalburned, if not uniting the country makes you the worst president, man is Trump awful.

Sounds less like "inclusive" language, and more like outdated Christian "women should be barefoot and pregnant" language.
