JacksonNought comments on Oct 16, 2020:
Art is subjective. In 1919, Marcel Duchamp made a famous piece of art which was literally a copy of the Mona Lisa but with a mustache and goatee. Art has always been subjective, not just in 2019. Time person of the year makes no comment about whether they were good or bad. It just has to do with how popular and how much of an impact they made. Hitler and Stalin were person of the year in 1938 and 1939. Do you deny that Thunberg made an impact? Who would you prefer be the person of the year? I won't comment on the athlete one, as I am sure we have different opinions and you are entitled to yours. I can recognize why you would take issue. What is wrong with John Legend being the sexiest man alive? If we want to have a more controversial choice, why not when Blake Shelton was sexiest man alive in 2017? Beauty is also subjective. Who would you prefer be the choice? Also, this is People Magazine. Why do you care what a liberal rag has to say?
Last time I checked, ACB also happens to be a woman, so what is this non-ovary carrying person ...
JacksonNought comments on Oct 16, 2020:
I think the point is, even though Sanders isn't a woman, he is advocating for women to be free to make their own decisions. While Barrett is a woman, she seems to hold the position (as to other women as well) that they should not have the right to make their own decisions. It is not necessarily an agenda Sanders and his side are trying to push, they just trust women to make their own choice. It is like if Sanders, a heterosexual man, was advocating for marriage equality - something that may be at stake if Barrett is confirmed, as two other justices have brought up the "need" to strike it down. Well some homosexual people, like Milo Yiannopoulos, believe same-sex marriage should be illegal. That doesn't change the fact that a heterosexual person can advocate for freedom. I am straight-edge, yet I advocate for marijuana legalization. I am a man, but I think women should continue to have the right to vote, even though some women like Kaitlin Bennett think women should no longer be able to do so.
Its mind blowing! It really is.

Here is more context on the statue, and why it turns the tables on the typical Perseus with Medusa head statue. https://www.shethepeople.tv/news-bn/things-to-know-medusa-statue-new-york-manhattan-court-metoo-movement-harvey-weinstein/ "The version of the classic myth most widely known was narrated by Roman writer Ovid in 8 AD. As the story goes, Medusa, one of three sisters, was a maiden in the goddess Athena’s temple. Poseidon, the powerful water god, raped Medusa in the temple. Angered by the desecration of her sacred space, Athena cursed Medusa with snakes instead of hair and a look that would turn people into stone. After receiving punishment for being raped, she was also fatally wronged by the hero Perseus, who beheaded her while she was pregnant with Poseidon’s child." "Garbati’s Medusa With the Head of Perseus is a piece of mythological revisionism in which Medusa receives due justice for the crimes inflicted against her. And as a mark of her victory, and that of all women who have been brutalised by men, she holds up Perseus’ head and the sword that beheaded it."

Trump wants to hold onto power as long as he can, as he knows he will be indicted for unlawful acts against America once he is out of power. That is why he keeps floating the idea of a third term or "president for life" or having his children success him. If he had nothing to hide, he would release his tax returns.

JacksonNought comments on Oct 8, 2020:
You guys really need to stop with the radical conspiracy that Harris is going to be installed as the president. It's Biden - Harris, not the other way around, no matter how much you want to spin that narrative. You just keep making yourselves look like fools. The debate was awful. No one really answered a question, there were plenty of mistruths on both sides, and the moderator was unable to stop anyone from veering off topic or going over their time. However, Pence was definitely worse when it came to interrupting - he went way over his time at one point, as well as talked through all of Harris' time during one of her questions, and then she was not given equal time back. Since I am not enraged by clear bias like you people, I will admit Harris failed on many fronts. She should have hammered him more about the virus response and how they have spectacularly failed - they were trying to be respectful because Trump gave himself the virus, and I definitely don't think it was the time for kid-gloves. She should have brought up Trump "falling in love" with Kim Jong-un and taking Putin's word over his own intelligence when she was on the topic of selling out America. When discussing Trump's attacks on military, she should have also brought up Trump's attack on Biden's son during the last debate. She should have called out Trump's child-tantrum performance at the last debate. But of course she also dropped the ball in avoiding the packed court question, which Biden did as well, and which can definitely hurt them - though she should have mentioned how McConnell and the Republicans stole Obama's pick out from under him. Neither of them could properly answer the question about old-as-fuck presidents where the VP might have to assume power. I wonder how people can justify their attacks on Biden's health and this theory that Harris will be the real president, when Pence completely avoided going anywhere near a real answer about it. It's probably because you all know that Biden has the integrity and humility to admit if he had an actual health issue and had to transfer power, whereas Trump has Jong-un levels of god-complex and could never admit he was anything less than perfect and would be on his deathbed refusing to give up his power. Of course Pence also completely avoided the question of peaceful transfer of power. It was like he was reading directly from a script, talking about how they will win and it is rigged if they don't, and doubled-down on Trump refusing to accept the results and peacefully transitioning. So what if Hillary said Biden should never concede? No one gives a shit about Hillary, which is why she lost the election to the steaming pile of dogshit that is Trump. "both sides accept the outcome" In 2016 Trump refused to commit to accepting the results if he lost, claiming it would be rigged. Today he still refused to commit to accepting the results, once again stating that it is rigged if he doesn't win. The only one refusing to accept the outcome is Trump. Biden committed to accepting the results. Speaking of voter intimidation, Trump is telling white supremacists to "stand by" and go to the polls to watch people - citing an incident in Philly in which his side was 100% in the wrong. Impeachment is a 100% Constitutionally allowed process from the House and they didn't even do it, despite constant reasons to, until the whistleblower issue with the Ukraine call. There is very very little evidence of mail-in voter fraud. Yet in the cases we have seen, Republicans are just as or even more guilty than Democrats. And you want to talk about smear campaigns? Sheesh, talk about cognitive dissonance.

The man who can't pronounce basic words, like "United States"? The man who pathologically cannot tell the truth? How is it *not* Trump's fault that he got COVID. He purposefully ignores safety precautions and encourages others to do so as well. I'm just surprised he didn't get it sooner. And now his campaign director of communications, Erin Perrine, is trying to use Trump's "firsthand experience" with COVID as some sort of asset, insulting Biden for apparently being unqualified because he didn't get it. Sheesh, the levels Trump's team will stoop to for their narrative. Hopefully in November we vote out the real embarrassment to our nation.

I for one never wanted him to die. I was worried he had a high chance though, considering he's a clinically obese septuagenarian consisting on a diet of fast food cheeseburgers and soda who spends all day watching TV and Tweeting, he has trouble walking up hills and down small ramps, and he's supposedly suffered from mini strokes (which wouldn't surprise me considering how he speaks). I was hoping he would have suffered enough for it to have humbled him, make him see it was serious and those of us without the bottomless resources footed by the taxpayers (of which he isn't one) don't have much of a chance. And then he'd get voted out in November and thrown in jail for his mountains of corruption. But I guess he'll just double down on his rhetoric and let another 200k people die.

JacksonNought comments on Oct 5, 2020:
Didn't you make a mask-mocking video a few weeks ago, where you insulted overweight people and told them to "put down the fork"? Perhaps you should devote a video to telling the president to put down the fast-food cheeseburgers and soda cans - after all, he's clinically obese, and that is definitely a risk factor when getting the virus. Driving around in that golf cart doesn't count as exercise. I don't know where you are getting the "better than ever" narrative. He is released from the hospital, but we haven't been given a date on his last negative test (telling us how long he's been infected and if he is still contagious) or whether he is 100% recovered or confined to the WH or anything. Isn't it nice, though, that a man who barely pays taxes was able to get the best medical attention America has to offer, all on the taxpayer's dime? And then he gets to put his Secret Service in direct danger by getting in a hermetically sealed car so he can have a little ego boost with his drive-by. Oh, and now technically Trump has a pre-existing condition, which he is trying to remove protection for millions of Americans. I'm glad he can make the debates now, hope he'll actually follow the rules this time.

It seems to have been linked to the Barrett nomination event, where there were many Republicans celebrating and embracing in close quarters without masks. It easily spread among a group of people willfully ignoring precautions and denying the science for political purpose. I'm surprised Trump and his inner circle didn't get it sooner with how careless they were, but that is a topic for a different time. I am not sure what you are insinuating with your query. Do you think the Democrats engaged in chemical warfare and intentionally gave it to Republicans to delay the court hearings and upend the election?
Derek Hunter was always the smoother edged version of Kurt Schlicter, his fellow Townhall columnist.
JacksonNought comments on Oct 5, 2020:
As a Liberal / Progressive / "Leftist" I will 100% refute this. I have seen this kind of narrative from Schlicter constantly, despite his Trumpian-level of insults and name-calling in his articles, and his use of "normal Americans" to "other" anyone who disagrees with his viewpoint. I also see Kurt constantly call for taking up arms and getting ready for a civil war, a concept I commonly see among right-wingers who seem to fantasize about being able to start mowing down people they don't like. Of course Schlicter's articles seem to always be an obvious ploy to promote his latest "poor oppressed conservative solider-boy" fantasy novel. I am not as familiar with Hunter, but his article is rife with hypocrisy. Oh so you feel attacked because some random people on Twitter were happy when Scalia or Bush died? Gee, I wonder what you think about all the right-wing celebrations when RBG died? Every time I bring this up, I basically get an answer that it is okay because *this time* it is justified. "Oh well RBG was responsible for millions of abortions so she deserves hate." With many recent health scares with Ginsburg over the years, I have seen countless joviality over her poor health, and plenty of celebration over her death. Hunter attacks Pelosi's faith, and I have seen many attack Biden's faith recently too. Yet I never seem to hear these same people comment on Trump's lame attempts to pander to evangelicals with his phony Bible photo ops and buzzwords. I always hear "oh well we don't elect a priest, we elect a president" or "our god uses imperfect people" - always some excuse of Trump's actions, yet nothing but hate against the left. Hunter is attacking Schumer for the Barrett confirmation being delayed due to Trump's COVID diagnosis, but has no qualms with exploiting RGB's death to ram through a confirmation in the middle of an election, even starting the process before she was buried. How about 8 years and counting of non-stop hate against Obama, with constant slurs of his name for a cheap laugh, or accusing him of being gay and his wife of being trans? What about the blatant hypocrisy over Conservatives crying that people are mean to Trump over his diagnosis, and this is the time for civility. Twitter even had to announce their rules to stop people from being mean to Trump during this time. Yet I remember Trump attacking Hillary for getting pneumonia, and for slipping and falling. I remember Trump constantly attacking Biden for having a stutter, claiming he had dementia or was on drugs and a fragile old man. Do you honestly think Trump wouldn't be holding countless rallys celebrating and laughing at Biden if the tables were turned and Biden got COVID instead? Of course he would, with no attempts to be respectful. Yet Biden suspended all ...

Well if by Obamacare you mean the Affordable Care Act, It was Republicans, maybe Frank Luntz, who came up with the "Obamacare" name. It was never officially that. It's a term used to try and paint it negatively for people who hated Obama. You can even see interviews with people where they shout to repeal Obamacare but if you ask them about the ACA they say they are on it and want it to stay - if you correct them and tell them they are on Obamacare they freak out. And as has already been asked, would you have the same analysis / opinion if we turned this around to question the behavior of men? There is a huge double standard when it comes to this, with men being "players" and given respect for bedding many women, with women being called "hoes" and "sluts" and considered damaged goods for bedding many men. We need to break this archaic thinking.

JacksonNought comments on Sep 30, 2020:
Here is my take on it. Biden won hands down. That's not to say I was particularly happy with his performance, but he won nonetheless. I was actually happy he called him a clown and told him to shut up. I think he should have done more of that and played by Trump's rules, but impressively he kept his calm more often than not and acted very "presidential" - or at least what the word used to mean. He even refused to bring Trump's family into the debate, which he could have easily done and would have had plenty of ammo, and he didn't even bring up the impeachment. I respected his ability to stick with the topics at hand most of the time, even if I wish he had a little more fire in him to attack as viciously as Trump did. Trump agreed to the rules of the debate and then flagrantly broke those rules, constantly interrupting and talking over Biden. Biden's interruptions weren't even 1/10th of the interruptions from Trump.Trump also made wild accusations, and basically called Biden a liar the whole time. Yes, Biden refused to comment on the court packing issue. But then Trump refused to give any details about his health plan, one that he has been claiming is fully formed and ready to go for 4 years now. Trump also continued with the lie that he'll eventually release his tax returns, even though that would help clear up the recent reports. You also had the great "Proud Boys: Stand Back and Stand By" comment from Trump, which I'm just waiting to hear his sycophantic supporters defend, and once more he refused to commit to a peaceful transition of power if he lost. Trump honestly had a real chance to win that debate if he was able to contain himself and not act like a toddler having a tantrum. I've even seen on other far-right sites commenters agreeing that Trump did not come off looking great. But in the end I doubt any voters were swayed. I think Wallace was a decent moderator. He was as fair as he could be, Trump definitely didn't make it easy for him. I think the moderators definitely need the ability to shut off the mics, or put shock collars on them or something... Anything to make the debates less chaotic.

So this is a “drinking” game that a few members on Discord came up with for the Debate.

Will probably be hard to get a Bingo. Might need a few other squares. Maybe "Trump Lies" can be the free square. Can also go with Trump mispronounces / slurs a word, or Trump uses a nickname like "Sleepy", Trump references his "perfect" phone call, etc...
Trump and taxes: Genius or Jail?
JacksonNought comments on Sep 28, 2020:
Definitely will not affect his election. He wasn't wrong when he said his most rabid supporters would still vote for him if he shot a man on 5th avenue. The common response will just be that "he is a smart businessman" for exploiting loopholes... even if his followers hate Bezos for the same reason, and even if he is currently in control of the government and can work to close those loopholes. While the sources are not 100% confirmed, there are reports that he did use illegal tactics. There is a report about writing off a payment to Ivanka as a consultant, even though she was an employee, which is against IRS law. They could both be punished for that. Not much different than when he violated Gaming Law when his father bailed out one of his casinos. The interesting thing is this would also show that he is not really a successful businessman, because he has been losing millions and millions over the years, and is defaulting on many properties and has a lot of debt. So either he is lying about these losses to avoid paying taxes, or he is lying and isn't really a successful billionaire businessman. It's no wonder he refuses a salary as president. It's not because he's trying to save the government money or be noble, it's because he doesn't want to pay taxes on it. But again, his supporters don't care.
People who are voting for Biden. Why?
JacksonNought comments on Sep 28, 2020:
I said anyone but Trump. Now I don't really mean that literally, of course someone like Rudy or Hannity or Richard Spencer could be worse. Biden isn't my ideal candidate, but since our system is so broken that it is literally a choice between two people, I feel Biden is 100x better. I am pro-choice and not a Christian, so of course I'm not going to vote for the president who speaks at March for Life and panders to the evangelicals with his theocrat VP.
Why is it not known how many have been killed through atheism?
JacksonNought comments on Sep 28, 2020:
Well first off, not a great start when you see: **Last edited 6 months ago by Liberaltears** - real impartial. However, the problem is that atheism is nothing more than a *lack* of belief in any god or gods. There is nothing else that links atheists together, no common ideology or viewpoints. It isn't quite the same as blaming Christianity or Islam, which has specific dogma. Now if the argument is theism vs non-theism, that is something that can be compared. When it comes to Communism, and the violent regimes that took place, you can't for sure say that the dictators were true atheists. They wanted absolute power, and saw that organized religion stood in the way. They were more anti-religion.
The Media and Joe Biden campaign work together to complain that Trump legally followed the tax code ...
JacksonNought comments on Sep 28, 2020:
Reports say he didn't actually follow the law though. For example, there are reports about Trump paying Ivanka "consulting fees" and writing them off, while she was actually an employee of the company. This violates IRS law, and they could both be held criminally accountable for this. Let's also not forget the Gaming Law violation he and his father engaged in to bail out one of his casinos. Maybe if he released his tax returns, as he kept promising, this could all be cleared up.
Yea whats up Doc!
JacksonNought comments on Sep 28, 2020:
I dunno. Perhaps the police will see you out and about, in defiance of ordinances, and arrest you? If you complain about your civil rights, they will beat you and choke you and maybe even shoot you. Maybe they will have a no-knock warrant for your arrest because you conspired to go outside, and they will kill you in your own home. Seems reasonable?

JacksonNought comments on Sep 27, 2020:
I wouldn't say there is a direct call for violence, though it's perhaps problematic to be holding a gun as a prop while calling to defeat Democrats. At least her ad isn't peddling Q nonsense.

Should people call themselves "trans women" while presenting completely male / as a man?
JacksonNought comments on Sep 23, 2020:
Who am I to question someone's gender identity? If they want to identify as trans women, that is their right. As Middle Way already stated, it doesn't matter that they present as masculine, as some cis women present as masculine, and that doesn't make them any less women. I know women with facial hair who were born women, identify as women, and are heterosexual. The pics you specifically posted look like they are from a dating app. Would you not want to know how someone identifies while deciding if you want to date them? And what if they just present as masculine currently, but have plans to go through HRT or surgery to present as more feminine later on... would you not want to know that before committing to a relationship? I will say, 9 times out of 10, even if these people identify as trans women, since they present as masculine they will still go into the men's bathroom, in case you were wondering.

Which is why you regularly start conspiracies about Jews? Which is why you created a thread on Twitter to insult Kelly Marie Tran, calling her fat when she most definitely is not. Is that the kind on "MYOB" you are talking about? Take a look at your video's comments. One person claiming masks are Jewish conspiracy. Another telling you to violently attack the person. Oh, and a nice group of 6 people deciding to spell out the N word.

JacksonNought comments on Sep 13, 2020:
[poem]It was an effort by BLM supporters to use the expression and the day to try to make a point that saying “all lives matter” diminishes the concerns about the problems of police brutality and black lives. But when they used 9/11 to try to make their point, they were indeed diminishing the almost 3000 lives lost on that day, but they didn’t seem to get or care about that. And they regarded the outrage as proof of their point.[/poem] I am sure they did get and care about it. That is exactly their point. "All lives matter" only came about as a direct response to try and diminish the BLM movement, and it is no different than saying all buildings matter - it is just a vile bigoted position to hold, it is not a sincere thought but just a dismissal of an issue a group is trying to bring to light. Black Lives Matter never says other lives don't. And all lives *don't* matter if black lives don't. Think about the outrage people are feeling, thinking about how hurtful the comments can be in dismissing people who died on 9/11. That is what black people feel when people say their lives don't matter.
What arguments may help progressives moderate or change their views?
JacksonNought comments on Sep 10, 2020:
As a few others have said, when speaking with Progressives or Conservatives, the best approach is to act in good faith and try to actually understand their position. Crying out "socialism" or "racism" isn't helpful for speaking with either side. Too often people like to use always-expanding strawmen or demonization to try and tell you what the other side believes and wants to do, while not actually listening to people from the other side, or just calling them liars. It's no wonder there is such a divide right now.
Why people shouldn't trust Government for protection- [bearingarms.
JacksonNought comments on Sep 9, 2020:
Yep. Government agents, including police officers, have no obligation to serve and protect. > “Neither the Constitution, nor state law, impose a general duty upon police officers or other governmental officials to protect individual persons from harm — even when they know the harm will occur,” said Darren L. Hutchinson, a professor and associate dean at the University of Florida School of Law. “Police can watch someone attack you, refuse to intervene and not violate the Constitution.” > > The Supreme Court has repeatedly held that the government has only a duty to protect persons who are “in custody,” he pointed out. The government will not protect you. Hell, they will flat out attack you and try and strip away your rights any chance they can. Everyone should carry and protect themselves, and I really mean everyone - white, black, Christian, Satanist, straight, gay, cis, trans. We need to let the government forces know they cannot get away with this.
Is the religion of Islam homophobic?
JacksonNought comments on Sep 9, 2020:
Trying to combat Islamaphobia doesn't mean you can't criticize the detestable things within the Muslim religion, such as the rampant misogyny, homophobia, extremism, etc. I know I sure as hell do, just as I criticize the same terrible things within Christianity and Judaism. Islamaphobia is different and has nothing to do with genuine criticism of the religion, just as you can be critical of the actions of Israel while not being anti-Semitic. Islamaphobia should be denounced because freedom of religion is paramount, and we shouldn't be banning groups of people from free expression or discriminating against them just because we don't like their religion... if we are okay doing that, then why stop at Muslims, why not Christians or Jews too? To say you don't see people calling out the issues in Islam sounds like your own ignorance, I see plenty of people do so - maybe I just follow different sources. Look at Bill Maher, Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris, Salman Rushdie, etc. The reason you may not see more mainstream criticism is because, at least in the USA, Islam is a minority religion which really has no influence in governance. The majority religion in the USA is Christianity, the overwhelming majority of legislators are Christian, and every president was Christian (yes even Obama). We constantly have Christians trying to influence the law based on their scripture, whether that was supporting slavery, anti-miscegenation laws, anti-sodomy laws, prohibiting same-sex marriage, prohibition, anti-abortion, injecting prayer in schools, trying to legalize discrimination, etc... Once more, it is perfectly fine to criticize the religion itself, and I would go as far as saying you should actively criticize terrible inhumane practices within all religions. But don't pretend like you aren't a hypocrite if you discriminate against Islam but are perfectly fine with Christianity or Judaism, especially when Christians are trying to implement a type of "Christian Sharia" in the USA.
