63 year-old physician and researcher who thinks evolutionary psychology explains more than either Left or Right political thought allows. Fan of the golden rule (but miss the mark often enough).

Fan of nuclear power. Germany could learn from France, here, and so could we in the US. There is no such thing as beautiful clean coal. Any more than fresh clean cigarettes. In fact, same crap.

Avid gun collector. Haven't shot anybody yet and hope never to do so. "There are few times in one's life when one wants a gun, but at those times, one tends to want one rather badly."

Religious skeptic. In fact skeptical of most things that aren't numbers or data-driven. Or at least experience driven.
