Well, it's nice to know our billion-dollar president and his privileged few will all have a safe place to camp out and hunker down when the shtf, in WWIII. Because the rest of us...

...shall come to know what a marshmallow feels like on a stick, in a camp fire.😳

If you survive its not doomsday,
This series by Tin Hat Ranch gives real tips on how to actually survive and navigate a nuke attack.

The government plans are good but as always they will get modified significantly if the need to actually use them should arise. Martin van Creveld said nuclear weapons were the best invention of the 20th century. It keep the major powers for going to war where masses of young men did the dying. Leaders essentially have direct real skin in the game of war.

πŸ€”πŸ’Hmmmm. Yes, indeedy. I remember watching this video, many moons ago. Helpful info, no doubt. My opinion by the same token, is that with average yield of a modern nuc. weapon being 500 times greater than each of the two bombs dropped on Japan, it would be very difficult to escape the blast and MACH 1.2 shock wave. And that's not even counting the 10,000,000* heat which would follow, nearly instantaneously. Factoring in the fact that I happen to live in the city of Lancaster, PA, I am willing to calculate that at least one MIRV weapon would hit us, here, which would mean no chance of survival for me, and everybody else, in our small city. That being said as well, we are situated approx. 20-30 miles southeast from Harrisburg, which puts us in close proximity to a major target range of at least 10 or so hits with multi-mega-ron MIRVs, and approx. 70 miles northeast from PHL, including that airport, which would incur around the same numbers of weapons or more, leaving us perhaps in a slightly better position than Harrisburg. πŸ€”πŸ’Now... from where we are from Harrisburg, we would almost certainly get hit with firestorm on the outskirts of our city, as well as the fallout. If the Tsar-bomba yields or the Satan IIs are used... forget about it. Our city would be very severely dsmaged, and all those out on the streets in Lancaster would suffer 3rd degree burns, right off the bat. The MACH 1.2 level winds would tear apart our larger buildings, and would completely devastate the much smaller residential himes--the Amish homes specifically and especially. The resultant firestorm from multi Tsar bomba-yielded strikes would completely destroy Lancaster, and we would take massive casualties, here.😫😡😞

if your too close there is not much you can do. The Czar Bomba size was and is impractical and very unlikely to be deployed. A major power is very unlikely to use a nuke.
Bin Laden was a rich, well educated jihadist. He went after symbolic targets. He used a novel weapon not considered before.

Do you honestly believe a leaderless country is desirable? Do you think those that can harness what resources are left to help us should be left without protection at a time when any resources left should be directed to aid its people. Seriously, get a life.

Which 'you' might ewe be referring to? Please be more specific to whom you are addressing. Especially when 'you' are suggesting to "get a life".

And the fact of the matter is, that I believe developed nations such as this one, need to make preparations to protect its own citizens from the prospect of a nuclear attack. Because if our leaders want to think that it is OK to exterminate most innocent civilians like Hitler and Joseph Stalin has then maybe... just maybe, we ought not have those types of 'leaders'. Seriously. Cease being such a right-wing shmong-O. Such staunch support for leadership no matter what the price and cost to innocent people and civilians. Wake up. And ewe get the same life which yer suggesting to me or the other guy, in this thread. (I suspect me, moreso likely than not.)
And those resources ewe speak of sweet cheeks...
...woukd mostly be incinerated in a full out nuclear exchange. Oh, but of course, ewe don't fully get that because yer so adamant on supporting the whole idea of protecting the shmong government and not the civilians who would be coldly left out to die slowly in the nuclear winter, which would soon follow.
All of the trillions of dollars of pork barrel bullshit since the 1950's here in the US, and still no plan to hide millions of Americans from a nuclear exchange. UNACCEPTABLE. And absolute, total bullshit. Bull-shit. Bullshit.
Allnof the tax payer money which has been used, mishandled and spent to build more and more weapons of mass destruction and to worry about Mars and the Moon... and to neglect our infrastructure and the American--and Canadian people too by the way... to neglect the adequate shelter whic would be needed in a nuclear war... no, no no no. Not good enough. Sorry, unacceptable.

In the first place, a ewe is a female sheep. Aren't you, Andrew, just so superior! In the 2nd place, although I live in the U.S. but am Canadian, I am here legally. I'm not enamored with this nation but I do respect it. The primary documents which founded this country are quite unique and need to be preserved via whatever "official" survives. I am old and don't particularly believe my survival matters one iota to anyone. I grew up "kissing my ass goodbye" in the event of a nuclear attack and still have no problem with that. That you find yourself so precious is a very personal opinion... one which I am certain has a somewhat limited following. I stand my ground on my initial comments sweet cheeks.

@EAL_Flt1979 With all due respect, have you ever considered what just evacuating a small city would involve?? There probably isn't enough money in the defense budget to do it in any kind of timely manner (30 minutes is what missiles take to get here now,) without a huge loss of life. You might want to run some numbers before declaring how stupid it is that government isn't trying to save everyone.

The answer is in returning to Constitutional principles. Political correctness dictating that we have equal respect for those who would trash the Constitution is the root of this stuff. Those who would throw out the Constitution and those who are watering it down want a free-for-all, and have not the intelligence to realize that it also means others get to violate their rights too. The ultimate result is unrestrained nuclear war.

@TimTuolomne Yes, thank you for your advice there brotha T... In answer to your question, our leaders ought to have the foresight to run those same numbers before those very same people trash innocent civilians, in a completely devastating and human-crushing final war. Why not show the wisdom to to take preventative measures a wise and prepared Gov., before committing a mega-atrocity, instead of dicking everything over for innocent people, and oheir life. So... the whole running numbers thing... that all falls upon those who keep up their arrogant sabor rattling with their weapons of mass destruction. Not with those who are the potential victims of their arrogant stupidity, with our lives. We pay the taxes, we say what goes. End of story. And for a team of so-called well-educated political hypocrites to all dig some hole in some shmong mountain where they can all jerk off to the blood lust of incinerating innocent men women and children in their little blood bath, and wipe themselves off with our freedom documents... is horseshit.
I say be a good little mensch and show some respect to those who helped vote you into OUR high offices by making a safe place for us not just for themselves. And if they have a problem with doing that then they lose their fake moral high-ground to keep throwing trillions of US taxpayer money at these shit-bird cuntries to wipe their ass and dropping our young men and women into these meat-grinder wars. In turn, the Gov. will then obviously have the available funds to evacuate and harbor We The People, when they press their buttons, and decide to have an absolute retarded chimp-out.

Dats where I stand on dat.πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

@torontogal4388 Hahahaaaa... Well put. From a special ewe. In answer to your question, yes of course I'm fully aware of what an adorable ewe is. I was just giving you a hard time. You put things very well, and I respect that. No kidding. My problem lies with your rush to cover for our Gov., where they always feel entitled enough to make preparations for themselves and make their reckless gambles for the endurance of their own lives. The Gov., never lose site of is here to serve We The People, not the other way around. And what we say goes. We elect them, we put them in there. We are not to appease their behaviors, whilst they spend into oblivion on frivolous porky projects, whilst they thumb their shylock noses at us. You are part of We The People, hon. There is no shame in suggesting that we all as tax payers should point out thhypocrisy of big fog., and keep them in their place. Exactly where they belong.✌️😊

@EAL_Flt1979 I think we are in agreement generally. β€œIt is hard to imagine a more stupid or more dangerous way of making decisions than by putting those decisions in the hands of those who pay no price for being wrong.” - Thomas Sowell.

I’m unable to view this, but based on the text, the author would have us believe no other sovereign nation would expend every possible resource to protect its leaders. Wonder what planet they’re from.

Hi, Tim, thank you for your commentary. Was there an issue with the video playing, on your end?

@EAL_Flt1979 Yes. It played without audio. Probably my Apple 6s. I had a Blackberry until it was no longer supported and had no choice but to buy this toy - only slightly better than an Android at the time. I'll try it on my PC.

@TimTuolomne OK, just wondering, thanks.πŸ˜¬πŸ˜πŸ‘
