I'm really sick of seeing the term "mansplaining."

I think it's time to introduce a new term, "non-splaining."

When someone (generally a "feminist" ) disagrees with with your point of view, and uses the logical fallacy Ad Hominem, because they don't know how to make a logical argument.

For example...

Thanks for calling me an insensitive bitch because I used reason and facts. You've done some brilliant non-splaining...

I’m tired of the overall disregard to masculinity and men in general. We cannot be complacent and need to stand up for what’s right

I agree. I have 4 sons, and I don’t like the way the masculine is demonized and the feminine is revered.

It always starts an argument but when accused irrationally of this I like to say: "As a man I cannot understand a women's experience so as a women you cannot understand a man's experience so I must explain it to you or you will remain ignorant.

This is a great counter to use. I've done a similar one with people using the "you said that because I'm black" thing. I simply asked, "you assumed that because I'm white, right?"

Disingenuous people rarely want their logic used on them.

I just view someone saying that your mansolainjng as them being too bigoted to take the time to understand your point of view.

i assume they don’t see the hypocrisy in their treatment of you.

@CrimsonFox most likely not.

Feminists are first and foremost... Angry. and second.. frustrated. Gloria Steinem told women that being female was a silly weak position and some believed her... cut off their hair, burned their bras and started wiping their noses on their flannel shirt sleeves. Those women (feminists) and everyone around them still suffer

Bras are awful.

When anyone goes Ad Hominem on me two things happen

I quit listening, just another moron making noise pollution

And two, usually wind up accepting the opposite because it's backed up by logic & knowledge

I actually explained to someone ad hominem was a logical fallacy.

They replied that my argument ad hominem-ed myself...?

Not that we care in the least about what the Triggly's who would use the word think anyway.

Trigglypuff was such a nightmare of a person. I investigated her pretty deeply, and she was a massive (heh) narcissist.

The root of "Mansplaining" is the same as "you can't have an opinion on anything that is not a part of your life expierience" Example - a man can't have an opinion on abortion because he dosen't have a womb. (kind of funny that in the next breath the argument is that there are no differences between men and women). Can I voice an opinion on a racial issue if I'm not a part of the aggrieved race? PC answer - NO! The result of these arguments is to devalue any opposing viewpoints regardless of merit. If I look where many of these arguments go - it's the same - The only allowable speech is that with which I agree. No disagreements allowed. Pretty sad.
