A sin tax in nothing more than the majority imposing its will upon the minority. As it stands right now, if the majority felt that wearing red on Friday was bad they could pass a law stating that you have the freedom to do so but if you do you have to pay a penalty. Sin taxes are nothing more than a legal way to inhibit free will.

I am a big fan of the "Fair Tax" as I think it would be the best, most, equitable way to fund the government. If all taxes were collected as sales taxes, then the "sin" taxes are a moot point.

Sin taxes will end up being justified when we have single prayor Healthcare, but until then, my sin, my Healthcare! I want it ALL back. ?
