With younger Americans moving to the left, is it inevitable that we will become a socialist nation?

Young generation of 1960-es was very left leaning, and intellectual appeal of communism was much greater at that time, however most of baby-boomers outgrew the stupidity of youth and embraced free market and personal freedoms.
I hope that somehow majority of millenials and even more younger generation will outgrow their stupidity as well 🙂

Young Americans are also moving towards being older. Socialism is for the young and ignorant.

Never can say never, I just hope not though. No shortage of those who support socialism in the US.

It seems as if the two parties that force the population into false dichotomous axis are going more to their extremes. Thus in the center new group identities are emerging or reemerging. Such as classical liberals who appear more conservative to the far left, and classical conservatives who appear more liberal to the far right.

Ideally society will break away from the one dimensional axis and come to recognize a more diverse range. However this would require ranked voting and/or other modes of acknowledging less represented ideologies.

As someone who was born and raised in a socialist country, I cringe at this thought. Please no socialism here, God bless America!
