I have talked to a lot of people that are not progressives, who have or plan to open their own professional business, and they voted for Obama and now Biden. We are talking about the 1 percent in terms of intelligence. The same kind of people that called Hitler a pretentious paper hanger in private. Who refused to accept that Hitler would be able do the things he said he would do. The modern counterpart to the German upper middle class elites now refuse to believe that progressives will be able to transform society into a dystopian nightmare. Perhaps they think the dynastic Democrats like Pelosi would never let things get that bad. Or maybe they don't want the mob to come for them and get cancelled. Whatever their reasons what I do know is they strongly dislike Trump.

What amazes me is that intelligent people can maintain faith in institutions that have obviously failed. The same institutions that vehemently oppose Trump because he is vulgar are transparently failing. Amount those institutions are the educational systems.

Students loans represent a societal investment of staggering proportion but the primary and secondary systems have invested even more through property taxes, state and federal grants. Yet educational attainment is continually slipping. The link between failure and progressive ideology is transparent in education but intelligent people seem to not notice.

Why do people vote for more of the same failed policies? I will take vulgar over failure any day.
