oh i know people are traveling. it makes me happy to see people not letting this stop them from thinking for themselves its just funny seeing people getting excited over trips on these networks stations that an hour later during the news they tell us how bad we are for traveling but you just gave out all these trips on your game shows

@Joehlert11 What I would love to see is the look on these winners' faces go from excitement to gloom when they get hit up for taxes on the value of their trip. I read once that games shows have IRS reps on site to make sure the govt gets their cut. I found that claim to be dubious, but I'm sure someone makes sure taxes are collected on winnings.

@coalburned i have read up on thing shows and i do think there is an option to take the monetary value of the prizes for this reason but that defeats the argument i am making lol. and its not like they mention that to the audience or contestants on screen and act as if the trip will be taken

@Joehlert11 I read that most shows won't give winners the monetary value unless the item won is unavailable for some reason. Who knows. You raise an interesting question though. I don't watch any game shows other than jeopardy on occasion. Are contestants masked up? If not, I'm guessing the show was taped pre-covid, and trips have already been taken.

@coalburned no they test all the contestants before hand and the crew usually had masks when they show them periodically and space them all out 6 feet. They sanitize everything, and either use grabbers or just don't pass things between each other that both host and contestant would normally pass between one another. obviously they are pretapped im just not sure how pretapped but clearly during covid. price has no audience just pre selected contestants back stage and deal has limited audience spaced out as well as at home zoom audience. there was one moment drew had to break social distancing and put on a mask to help a short contestant spin the wheel snd instead of the usual pet message to close the show its now to wear masks. the ladt few episodes of jeopardy are during covid. if you notice the podiums got larger to account for social distancing

Let’s Make a Deal and Price is Right have been filming. Deal has limited in house audience and then at hone Zoom contestants and Price has everyone back stage and hust brings them out from backstage.
