I find this video interesting.
Regardless of what they are actually saying, including the viewpoint that Hong Kong protests are organised by outsiders (which I think is a reasonable point), if you're firmly against socialism, the fact that GG is a socialist and JB is a pro-China activist prevents you from processing your thoughts any further than discounting their views.
Concentrating on what they are actually saying, I wonder if it would sound more credible and be perceived better if, say, Douglas Murray, said the same thing...
A hardline socialist is complaining about outside influences? I reckon that's just because the outsiders are not fellow socialists.
