How much of the view on Putin is correct, and how much is propaganda?

I did read that Russia(read Putin) contracted with N. Korea for 20,000 people sent to Russia to work as slaves. I unfortunately know little else.

Putin has more sense than Corbin or EU leaders. The USSR was disbanded since its does not work, and the EU what to grow into multi nation state full of bureacy and regulations, and Corbin wants to make the UK a Socialist state, neither the EU or Corbin have no clue History tells you it does not work as Hitler Napolian all found out

C.S. Lewis said that above all else, the devil cannot abide being MOCKED.

The world needs to learn how to laugh at those people. One thing that could help would be for large numbers of people to begin wearing "I Colluded with Russia/Я Вступил в Сговор с Россией" tshirts:

And then you get deep-state types and demopoops talking about "Russian Collusion(TM) and Donald Trump being a Russian agent.....

Here's what to tell people about that if the subject should come up:

Vladimir Putin is a hero for our age. I've been waiting a long time to read about a politician with the power to do anything about it taking any sort of action to protect Christianity and Christians in this world and, so far, Putin is the most major case of that happening. Pretty nearly everything you read about the guy in US media is total bullshit. This might help a little bit...

I liked Putin, not sure he supports Christianity, STATE churches, yes but freedom to worship, not sure.
I have though always followed his arguments and liked those.
However, I have heard he supports human slavery, not sure it includes sex slavery.
Maybe ALL countries do, I don't know.

The Orthodox Church has been there for Russia for over a thousand years. It is a main part of Russia. Other than that, Russia outlawed slavery a year or two after we did, there isn't any legal slavery in Russia.

I suppose the question comes down to whether one believes Putin is acting in an aggressive or defensive manner. This depends on how one interprets the wests actions, whether the push into eastern Europe by the EU and Nato violates a peace treaty. If Russian excursions into Iran are legitimate defensive military strategies.

There certainly is a narrative by Democrates in the US and Pro EU types in Europe to paint Putin as this global threat by firstly creating the collusion story with Trump and in Europe claiming the populist movements are puppets of Putin to destabilize a Greater Europe.

Stephen Cohen in an dissident commentator on Putin that is worth a listen to.

Is Stephen COHEN bias Jewish? Is Putin operating just FOR Russia? Perhaps he thinks so? Does he overstep?

@2FollowHim Listen to a youtube speech and decide for yourself.

I'm not quite sure what the question "is putin operating just FOR Russia" means. Is this a suggestion Putin is operating in his own interests above Russian interests? Or is in some far sinister pact or alliance he places above Russia?

I think the politicians constantly whining about Putin and Russia are from the era of the cold war. Look at Pelosi and Schumer's age, they've been around when there truly was a fear of Russia. They can't comprehend our greatest threat are our borders. That inability to see truth is a hell of a lot more dangerous than Russia and Putin.

Blind!

I think that we Americans, being shortsighted as usual, let others fill our heads with lies and propaganda that has no basis in fact or viability. I really don't care if Putin is mean to his people, his neighbors, and I certainly don't care if he has his eyes on Syria and the Middle East. Think about this for a second, the world order facists have led us around by the nose saying that we can't let the " Evil Empire " gain access to oil supplies and make friendly with all those Muslims. But consider that the largest Christian nation in the world is who we are going to have to team up with when the " Holy Wars " start in earnest. Putin has his own problems with radical Muslims and it will only get worse. One day we will have to stand together or perish.

This is an episode of Strategy Talk discussing Putin and Russia.

Jim Dunnigan is a former nuclear weapons officer, an investment banker and analyst. Back in the middle 70s he wrote a study for the CIA saying the Soviet Union would economically implode. Nobody believed it except Dunnigan and Reagan.

Austin Bey is a retired Army Colonel, an analyst and writer. Very astute himself.

They have teamed to write a series of "Quick and Dirty Guide to War" books.

StrategyPage.com is a military news site I highly recommend.

Sounds good, thanks

Putin and the Russian state overall is for undermining foreign nations in the interests of Russia. Unfortunately, they consider political opponents as "foreign nations" even if they're Russian citizens. It's a tyrannical leadership in a Nation of people who want one.

I have a Ukranian friend who does his best to enlighten me. He raves about Putin & seems very loyal to him.

I heard him sing Blueberry Hill in perfect English helping raise money.
I wouldn't get on his bad side, but otherwise, I like him.

Let's start pulling back the armored divisions and tank columns the previous administration garrisoned along their western border and find out.

Would you mind talking about that a little more? I want to better understand what you mean.

@JayKane, okay, man of few words, haha. Rare breed these days. I'll look at it. But, if you think you might want to tell me what YOU think about it all, that would be cool too.

@chuckpo I prefer succinctness or brevity to lengthy wind-ups or narratives. That said, there is much to be said for what was not said in the mainstain media about the geopolitical events that played out under the guidance of deputy sec state Victoria Nuland in the wake of the much ballyhooed mockery for Romneys Russia phobia be Obama (the 80s called and wants their cold war foreign policy back lolz) after shit started getting real in the pipeline war being waged in the Syrian theatre. It's all fun and games until someone loses an energy gateway to the European market.

@JayKane All Trump has to do is approve the Poland military base. It's the necessary thorn in Putin's side.

I think he is not a friend but the dems are weaponizing that to intfere with a president they are afraid of.

A nations leader often is concerned with their nation's well being alone.
We might agree with some things they do but at the end of the day we will always have a level of mistrust/disapproval of foreign leaders.

His idea of a "Nations well being" is that people are disposable in pursuit of that goal. Even his own citizens.

@Krystoking I would be hard pressed to believe this isn't true of any Nation.

@CodeNameZebra yes, Putin is very good at convincing people that he's acting just like "any Nation" would when he assasinates political opponents in broad daylight.

@Krystoking if compared on the world scale for the time frame of the last 30 years it's nothing all that surprising. There's a few countries were that activity is not the norm but it's a minority amount.

The Great thing about foreign leaders is being able to take their actions at face value rather than justification.

@CodeNameZebra No, it's not a "few countries" where that activity is not the norm. Again, that assumption is what Putin was trained under the KGB for.

No Christian majority Nation, no Western Nation, runs their country like a tyrant like Putin does. Russia is run a lot like North Korea, just on a much larger scale, and by much smarter men. It's all fake, it's all a facade, and they often try to rewrite history to their benefit.

@Krystoking As a good Machiavellian leader, he must execute one rather than ruin peace.
We can overestimate individual value.
