Not only did these supposed "white supremacist" Republicans vote for the first black woman Lt. Governor is Virginia history, but they also voted for the first Latino Attorney General in Virginia history.

The MSM has never credited the Republican Party for such achievements, however, which include the appointment of the second black U.S. Supreme Court Justice (Clarence Thomas), the first black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and first black Secretary of State (Colin Powell in both cases), the first black woman to be the National Security Advisor and the first black woman to be Secretary of State (Condoleezza Rice in both cases), and the first Latino U.S. Attorney General (Alberto Gonzales). Not long ago Republicans also elected the first black U.S. Senator from South Carolina (Tim Scott, a personal favorite of mine). The list could go on, but I think the point is made.
