The info systems of these on-line sites "want" you to click to see something. They're in it for the almighty dollar . . . clicks lets others see which sites have been accessed, which leads to advertising to particular groups, which leads to more advertising to groups, etc.

I have the same question. Not being able to see the link means I have to check my own posts with links each time to make sure the link works and I posted the right one, and also that I have to click through the links on others’ posts to find out what they’re actually about. A waste of time all round.

I can only imagine that this is a server capacity or bandwidth issue, and so possibly also cost-related.
