This is an alarm bell, which is ringing out to our elected officials to cover ALL LEGAL AMERICAN CITIZENS, with a full and comprehensive healthcare plan. Because without a full and comprehensive plan for our own people, our own people will needlessly suffer and die. This is not a fictional statement, but is a fact, based upon our own people who need vital help and support, and access to life-saving services.

End of story.

I agree something needs to be done, but not to include forcing 180,000,000 off of their present insurance that they like. In the short term, help is always available. This for life threatening emergencies, free (tax payer funded) clinics for non emergency.

Yes I agree with that, BUT...

...Why should American citizens have to wait for there to be an emergency, instead of being ae to access a physician, for preventative care? I'm not in agreement with some aspects of Obummer Cate, one of them forcing people to abandon their preferred insurance carrier. To that end, We The People have waited long enough to have the right to re eive comprehensive medical care, and enough arguing and contention between the two main US parties has taken place over it. Something must be done. Or people need to cease electing these same people who just don't obviously take our well-being into their concern. We're paying taxes, here. We're paging big money, and yet our infrastructure and our Healthcare is just not up to lae. Enough, already. How ma y times do we all need to have patience with our elected officials--and how long are the same sheeple going to keep voting into these high offices? Not good enough, sorry.

@EAL_Flt1979 We have this system in NZ, where its all "free" if you need it, Compulsory State health insurance, I have only been waiting for 14 months to be seen for an eye problem, But due to the waiting list for type 2 diabetes, My loss of the surface of one eye, is not as important as the overweight unemployed with diabetes who could go blind.

Its illegal to go private, unless I travel overseas, Meantime we spen a thousand every month on my eye drops to prevent it getting worse .. Not working - Love the system. NOT !!!

But every election year (this year) I get to see a private consultant, as they suddenly find money to shorten the waiting lists just before elections. - FUNNY THAT !!!

@The_Q Woooowww! Yeah I also have type II Diabetes, but I'm covered under what's called Health Partners Medicare, which is quite good. No co-pays, plus Medicade picks up the co-pays. Absolute minimal co-pays for prescriptions as well, merely a few dollars for some of them, usually not more than a dollar and a half, on average. Ever think about heading over here to the US???? Might I suggest Lancaster, PA? Lots of decent services here, for the ill. It's a real blessing.

Yep the last monopoly in existence, and What do you know- They charge top dollar and make more money than any of the top fortune 500 ever did.

The problem may the system, rather than the who pays.
