When Russia was under the Bolshevik boot, the West held on to the things that made greatness possible. After the fall of the Bolshevik empire, once Russia returned to the morals and ethics of the Eastern Orthodox Church, the West slid into a vat of Bolshevik slime that ate away all the thing that made greatness possible and Russia became great again, or at least is on the way to doing so. I am minded of the wave experiment we did in high school where we took a shallow trough of water and disturbed it on one end to record the wave motion. East to West, West to East. That water sloshed back and forth, and so too does the vileness of socialism.
