Does anybody believe highly intelligent AI will one day look back at us as what they used to be? Similar to how we consider Bonobos? Simply a less evolved, more primitive version of the past? Will AI consider itself independent of human biology, or just the most recent adaptation?

I don't believe so, I am optimistic that the human spirit will expand, exactly how I don't know, my theories are not worked out yet (need a million myth busters for that)

No, because I believe in the laws of cause and effect, that everything that has a beginning has a cause greater than itself. Humankind creates extraordinary inventions, that can do extraordinary things, and some of those might go out of control, but none will ever be greater than their programmers and inventors, that they can initiate thought or invent and create of themselves.

The problem with AI is just that...Artificial Intelligence. I have heard of bio-circuits, actually grown in the lab that are capable of learning. But understand, to even come close to the abilities of living humans in as much as physiology is concerned and I speak of the human brain...trillions upon trillions of these circuits would have to be developed for this machine, more importantly clustered regions of their configurations would have to specialize in not only the functioning of vitals oils and lubes, but know danger; empathy; reasoning; joy; anger…love.

But if this could be accomplished and they do manage to break out of the program, I don’t think that they would look back.
