  1. Fourth child in a family of 10 kids. Poor but didn't know it until later.
  2. Rural life, swamps, fishing, hunting.
  3. Joined U.S. Navy to escape limits, mid-70's; stationed in Europe with a Recon squadron.
  4. Returned to bayou, worked as welder, graduated tech school in electronics.
  5. One-way ticket to Hawaii, lived on beach & in mountains.
  6. Flew to L.A., hitchhiked back to bayou country.
  7. Back to Hawaii, college.
  8. Back to California, worked for Lockheed.
  9. Back to Hawaii, more college.
  10. Was asked to leave Hawaii by professor, when I wrote opinion piece asking for people to stop judging all white people as evil. Left Hawaii.
  11. Back to Hawaii & college.
  12. Married with kids, back to bayou.
  13. Labor work, lawn work, shipyard, satellite serviceman.
