You know.... I'm surprised that no athorney has taken the fact that Youtube is acting as a publisher and not as a platform and attack them on this.....My guess would be there is a LOT of money to make out of this.... and a great publicity..

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.A magazine store or newsstand is a platform. It can choose not to carry Hustler or Playboy. It can choose its politics and exclude American Rifleman or Worker’s World. How do answer that?
If Facebook starts editing comments they cross a line. Excluding a user entirely is more like refusing to carry a magazine.

The issue, I believe, is whether Congress needs to first repeal a piece of legislation that specifically defines the platforms as exempt from publisher status. I see various pieces of information on the subject. No attorney is going to bring a defamation case if the law specifically exempts the platforms.
