I acknowledge that I have become an unabashed pessimist these days, so much so that I agree with the left: the system has been so totally corrupted, there is no hope for it to repair itself. Of course, I come to this conclusion from the exact opposite direction as the left.

On one hand, we have is a small cadre of Marxists in charge of the cities, and Washington, as well as the media. On the other, we have 81 million voters who know their votes were flushed down the Democratic toilet, whose voice, priorities, whose very presence is being systematically erased from the public sphere. We suddenly have morphed into “Domestic Terrorists,” simply for giving voice to words like “patriot,” “freedom,” “Constitutional rights,” or flying the flag.

We’re not going away simply because CNN wishes we would. We’ve gotten the message that we’re no longer playing politics. We’re playing survival. We don’t simply disagree with the fraudulent regime, we despise every thing and everyone connected to it and all those who support it.

I foresee a time, maybe not too far distant, when members of law enforcement and the military will have to confront their true beliefs and decide if they are prepared to open fire on their fellow citizens. Either way, it’s the apocalypse.

Well I say it isn't pessimistic when you see and hear that train called Socialism bearing down on you - it's stark and terrifying recognition of reality and a painful death.

In my youth I had this fantasy of one day being old and surrounded and held in the warm embrace of my progeny - growing old seemed like not such a bad thing.
Today in my dotage I am glad to be old - old enough that I will not live long enough to see the impending apocalypse reach its climactic ends.
Now my only wish along these lines is to die without pain and terror.
Am I merely pessimistic or am I fatalistic? Either way a part of me looks forward to seeing what is on the other side. I have hope for something better when my life is over.
