He does not use translations from any of the original languages to parse the individual passages he quotes. These translations often clarify what is truly meant by word choices in scriptures.

He made a statement that Babylon is a religion, with little to back that statement. You are to accept that statement at face value. He then goes on to base his other statements on this first ... which is an "assumption", as though it were proven fact. You must accept his decision on this.

The US used to be considered a Judeo/Christian nation but that claim was lost several decades ago. Yes there were and are American missionaries throughout the world spreading the gospel to all the corners. That does not fix the fact that this nation's government and many of its people are idolaters and worshipers of Satan and other cults. Our movies, social media, child trafficking, pornography, music and political machinations have perverted the world.

"The blood of the saints" according to Cahn include the 60 million abortions performed here and supported/pushed throughout the world with abortion clinics in other countries funded by US taxpayer money the Congress and Senate have been approving for years.

desert - wilderness .... no comment there, nor did he suggest any other place or country, he just argued that the US was not strictly a desert. So... he leaves one hanging there.

As to total destruction. That is very possible to leave permanent desolation for the millenia if enough nuclear bombs were dropped. Why he doesn't even mention this is disconserting. He just suggests it can't happen.

In partnership with the Beast. Two entities. And what of the rising technocracy of the tech giants? This cannot possibly mean the Beast? The one who subjugates the world with its technical control of every aspect of our lives, our health, our spiritual freedom to think for ourselves? As to the "red" is not China a technocracy .. in cahoots with our tech giants. And are they not now in fact devouring the US??

I don't disagree about the Caliphate, but do you not think technocracy of the entire world is not up to that task? I have heard for years that there will be major battles between the religions and the final result is a total damnation of religions with a new one, probably a form of "Gia" or nature worship replacing all the old ones that will then be considered to have been too destructive.
As I said, I am no biblical scholar but Joel Richardson left far too much proof of anything out of these statements. We are to trust his judgment. I don't trust any one's judgment without considerably more actual proof than he provided. The one pastor I have seen promulgating US as Babylon at least has 53 point reference throughout the Bible. Only time will tell who was right and our salvation is far more important than worrying about these opposing thesis and picking what we think is right. What is the point really. Fill your lamps folks. That's what really matters.

Cahn in the past made several date predictions based on Jewish feasts that did not materialize. I agree with a lot of what he teaches, but not with all of them. There are massive abortions in China as well, even more than that of the USA. Using Cahn's exegetical style, why shouldn't China be Mystery Babylon? One's Hermeneutics in studying the bible needs to have consistency with the rest of what it's saying. Will the US escape judgment? Not at all. All nations will be judged, including Israel. But the US being Babylon is really a bolt out of the blue as far as what is written in the bible is concerned. John was brought to see the beast out in the desert on which the harlot sits. Again, I point out to the names of the nations Christ will do battle with when He returns. Pretty much an exclusive list there.
As for technology being used in God's judgment against humanity, that could happen. Technology is, after all, just a tool. But if you study the characteristics of the AC, as in Daniel and Isaiah, you find that he has a religion! He is not an atheist as the Globalists are. That's why I keep saying that I suspect the Left in all its flavors will eventually be swallowed up by the AC's religious system.
There is no judgment written that is specific to the USA, but there are two which are specific to the world's military mights (likely in a war with each other) in Isaiah 25:5 and 29:5.
@eschatologyguy Good stuff. Funny, when he mentioned "red" I immediately thought of China. Never did that before. As to the leftists and globalists, many of them do in fact secretly worship Lucifer. Over the years there has been a lot of solid evidence to confirm that, and even Madonna's music confirms much of it and she is part of the Jewish cabal that does not hold to our God and Jesus. There is also a lot of evidence that the papacy and the black papacy (Jesuits) are in fact Luciferians.

Babylon was a city that was the seat of power of the Babylonian empire. Mystery Babylon is likewise a city. In Revelation 17:18 it says "And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth."
A little caveat about the "of the earth" part. We see a lot of examples of "over all the earth" in the bible that really means the known world to them at that time, so there's that. Not an error in scripture, just the reality when it was written.
What really captured my attention re Mystery Babylon are two verses:
Revelation 17:16
"And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire."
Most Muslims hate the Saudis for "living deliciously" while most of them languish in poverty. At least that's what I'm hearing. Even ISIS, the creation of the Saudis to counter Shi'a expansionism, has turned to the Turks, the Saudis' former cruel master under the Ottoman Empire.
Revelation 17:14
"These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful."
The "horns" - representing empires - that come out of the beast (representing, for lack of a better term, a common system. You could also say a common religion) shall make war with the lamb. Now where have we heard of this before?
Psalm 2:1-3 talks about this confederacy of kings against the Lord Himself!
[v2-3] "The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His Anointed, saying, Let us break Their bands asunder, and cast away Their cords from us."
Who would be foolhardy and stupid enough to make war with the Creator Himself? Only those who have been deceived into thinking that the Christ is "really the antichrist," since they already have their own messiah in this mahdi character, who declares that the Trinity is blasphemy (Islam teaches this). That is what the "break their bands asunder" in the passage is all about. Muslims are being deceived and set up to fight God Himself. At the conclusion of Armaggedon, when they realize their mistake, they will all bend the knee.
And this is why the USA cannot fit the role of "Mystery Babylon". The real one will be practicing beheadings and trading in slaves until the time of the end (Rev 18:10-13).
@eschatologyguy I'm not disagreeing with you. All of this is well founded and supported throughout Christendom. None of what you have just stated confirms Mystery Babylon as a religion though, but rather as a place. And the reference to the desert may actually mean the place God took John and others to see the prophesies. That was always the desert or wilderness, just like Jesus went into the wilderness/desert and was tempted by Satan.
I guess the point some are making are these:
God created the world and saw right up to the "end times". As Alpha and Omega he knows far more than we ever could. That means he is very well versed on the New World ... the Americas, as well as the Caliphate countries, the Russians and China as they are today. So in a way why would not the Creator actually mean all the world as known in the end times.
The ten kings in the New World order refers to the 10 regions of our world today and I have on numerous occasions seen 10 regions referenced in NWO materials. Now exactly how they divide it into 10 is not something I have ever seen, but they are actual regions of the current world and the "rulers" of these regions could be interpreted as kings.
You and I both know NWO would have no hesitancy to challenge the Christian Lord as they mock Christianity. And the US does trade in slaves, what we call human trafficking.
Just thoughts. Nothing more. God saw the final world not as it was in the old and new Testament, but rather as it exists today (if the end is neigh). When you look at all the Churches today agreeing that we are going to be active participants to His Return, perhaps man's knowledge could be questioned.

@toronto_Georgia if memory serves, I think it was Walid Shoebat who proposed that the "cup of the wine of her fornication," a delicacy she has in abundance by which she makes the kings of the earth commit fornication with her, makes them look the other way as she persecutes and oppresses, is oil. What country would risk its industry and development by criticising the harlot and saying it is not a peaceful religion that she is promoting? In my view this harlot of a city would likely be Mecca.

You've just uncovered one thing that I'm not agreeing with Joel Richardson on. The bible says the harlot is a city, so it should be seen as a city. Maybe he had it mixed up. The beast, on the other hand, is another matter. The bible alludes to it as a unifying system which these Empires have in common and make them think alike. Daniel 2 also says that the stone not cut with human hands will crush and destroy them together also suggests that they reappear in the near future together, and that they receive "power" at the same time (Rev 17:12 - from the malign spirits cast out from heaven and restricted to the earth? More likely than not).
@eschatologyguy Exactly. NWO fits the bill of the beast with 10 horns. As to Babylon, do not all nations to some extent hate the US and delight in her downfall.
As to the City, why not New York City that currently hosts the UN. If it initially hosts the NWO upon its arising, then both could be smite at exactly the same time.

@toronto_Georgia but it doesn't fit the bill where it honors a singular god, and a god of war at that either. Christ will be battling a list of nations which is already revealed to us, plus these unspecified "kings of the East". No "kings of the West" mentioned.
@toronto_Georgia the bible also says that Babylon (not the mystery Babylon one) will become a seat of power for this beast, and will be destroyed. But right now there is just a smattering of people who live there. It is possible (I first heard of this from Chuck Missler) that the UN could be kicked out of the US and could reistablish itself there. Worth watching out for.
