Amir Tsarfati: The Generation that Shall Not Pass Away
I fully agree with Amir's take on the meaning of "generation" in the context of "this generation shall not pass away." it's in the context of longevity, which is 120 years, from those who witnessed the rebirth of the nation of Israel. To seeing the Rapture? No, to seeing ALL these things, which includes the start of the Messiah's Millennial Reign. I don't even think it will take the whole 120 years. But that's just me.

Feel free to reply to any comment by clicking the "Reply" button.Back in the late 70s people put a 'generation' at 40 years, using the same Scripture, that would put the END of Tribulation in 1988, minus 7 years to the beginning was 1981. When it came and went, many Pastors and Bible Scholars had mud on their face....and I left the Church. I did spend some time on the term 'generation' and it could mean 40 yrs, or 75 years (the max life expectancy at the time - 1948), but 120?

Before the flood, we read that man lived to be as old as trees. After, the flood, we read that God reduced man's longevity to 120 years (ref Gen 6:3). When Christ returns, longevity will again be reverted to how it was pre-flood (ref Isa 65:22).
As as frame of reference, those who were 7 years old when the state of Israel was reistablished would be 100 years old in 2041, and that is still a good two decades away. The "all these things" timeline can easily fit in there.
