LINK Seattle Police staffing shortages result in sex assault investigations not being assigned

An internal email from Captain Steve Hirjak on May 17 reads, "With our current shortages, we are currently leaving an average of 4.6 cases unassigned per week." He added that though victim advocates will still reach out to all victims, the police department is "maintaining a list of those cases that we will assign, but currently cannot assign due to staffing."

This is what liberal Seattle women vote for. It's a real shame for the sane women in Seattle.

When every second counts the police are minutes away, or hours.

As if police are worth what they siphon from the lives of the people who pick up their tab.
Volunteer investigators would do a better job.
Oh yeah, when I was young, most police and fire departments were staffed by volunteers primarily! Maybe we should get back to concerned constables and peace officers and shit-can the "professionals."

Lump in the professional politicians too. You can't trust anyone who enters "public service" to get power and riches.
