Not once did he advocate overthrowing the Romans and neither did any of the authors of the Gospels or Epistles. Jesus was interested in bringing us out of bondage to satan, and to destroy the works of the devil. Paul writes in Romans 13 about how we are to obey the authorities because God has placed them over us. There is one verse in Romans 13:1-7 that says, "For he is God's servant to do us good." Unbelievers aren't dealing with sin. Check any secular psychiatric group (can't remember the word I want to use) and you will find an absence of the word "sin". Give me an example of an unbeliever struggling with "sin". We only deal with "sin" when Holy Spirit convicts us and we are led to confess and repent of it. I am interacting with a woman who was abused by pedophiles from age 3 - 8, raped at 11, trafficked from age 14 - 17, hospitalized several times for mental disorders. Doctors (psychiatric) give her about 20 pills to take every day. She has been subjected to ECT to eliminate memories (didn't work as she overdosed less than a month after treatment). They tell her that she can't forgive her abusers, that she must accept to live with the consequences of their crimes against her. Every time a memory surfaces, she is triggered and either overdoses or turns to crack cocaine. Secular medicine does not heal people, it treats people. Only Jesus can heal.
