China tried the classical communism in Mao era and it was disaster in every sense of the world, millions of dead and suffering. Historically once the empire falls apart they don't come back. China has to be probably an exception because it was the west and American in particular that moved the manufacturing into China to exploit the cheap labor and than bought all that china produced. This means that the West essentially was financing China's rise to current prominence.

That being said, Its hard to deny that China didn't get to be what it is by robbing others and being colonial, it became what it is today from the bad Mao era by adapting, having a bit of luck and tone of sweat, blood and tears, and now after being so humiliated they feel they can enjoy their national pride and strength. I can't fault Chinese people for that.

The real problem is not nationalistic China as much as it is international globalist mindset of everyone else in EU and USA under Bolshevik Biden and Commi-la Harris. USA that is patriotic would be still a counter balance to China.

Nation states at least had interest in their own people even when corrupt, but when you erase borders you are talking about technocrats, which is a term for a communist theocracy with fancy name, is completely devoid of any philosophy, interest in art, literature, or moral safe guards.
