You should be aware Wikipedia supports the Leftist narrative. AND paying Jizya was a poll-tax that to be a humiliating discriminatory fashion. The "protection" from Muslim attacks is incredibly misleading. Primarily such protection ends if one chooses to worship as one pleases in a public manner - meaning death. And in the case of atheism - death was and is a sure thing for it offends the demon-god Allah.
