I’m guessing that this contractual manifestation of marriage is a leftover from days past when marriages were used to seal alliances between military powers and the like? For instance, Lucretia Borgia’s father even feelt the need to personally witness the consummation of her (his daughter’s) marriage – the written contract wasn’t enough.
MGTOW (Men Going Their Own Way) is an individualist philosophy of life that advocates zero commitments that only serve to enslave mankind. For instance, there is nothing in the vows of marriage that obligates women as they do men. MGTOW is about not agreeing to, or getting caught in, a legally binding commitment situation that only obligates the one party – men.
And yes, yes, I know that everything about marriage is actually unlawful, but society will not hold women to the same standard as it’ll certainly hold you.

But we never saw the feminists coming. Those who are not women and feel as though they are men. Now they think that men can be women. Feminists don't like men or women. They wish to be kings. The law has more or less sided with the feminists.
A vow used to be a pledge of honor, a mark of character and trust. It is almost meaningless now when it comes to marriage and are thus character is assassinated and easily destroyed by guess who.
No, we aren't going to trust "women" anymore, in fact it is feminists, and we will go our own way - thank you very much. Women's proper role is to give aid and nurture not to be competition to men.
Alas, equality makes us all the same and the law insists it be so out of some misconception that the State and society are already one big all important collective that must eliminate individuality in any form - except for those who deem themselves gods, of course.
