State elections are getting bigly out-of-state money, and a smart state would capitalize.
Georgia is smart by having a runoff, which is another opportunity to rake in out-of-state
money. They will get more than 100 million dollars, much more than you get for hosting the baseball All Star Game.
A smart state would hold important elections every year. Let all state offices have a term of 1 year.
Iowa and New Hampshire are smart by having their primaries early. Other states might leapfrog them.
A state could have 2 primaries, one early and one late, and average the results.
The new normal is that local elections will get bigly out-of-state money. Every local election will be a national apocalypse. Spending will escalate.

Election money goes to media oligarchs, not to the citizens.
A smart state would steer election money to its citizens.
A smart state would offer a politician a deal: If the politician donates his election money to the state treasury, then reward him with an office. Give him 1 term. If he wants another term, shake him down for more money.
Set a high price for office. So high that even if the office holder is corrupt and uses the office for personal gain, he can't gain as much as he paid for the office. This is how a local business heavyweight can be mayor and for it to make sense. The oligarch can use the office and his businesses to get stuff done, and the town benefits. He makes money, but he paid more than that for the office. It's a vanity tour. If a local oligarch is benevolent to the town, it makes sense to reward him with an office and treat him like a celebrity. Give thanks that the oligarach didn't take his businesses to another town.
Coax oligarchs from other towns to your town.
Call it an anteocracy. The number of votes you get is proportional to the number of chips you put on the table. How much food you put on the table. It's like a corporate board.
Political office is a cushy job, and voters shouldn't hand out offices for free. Make the politicians pay. Establish a negative salary for officeholders.
Have multiple types of offices. Some offices you have to pay for and have a negative salary, and some offices are decided by election and have positive salary. Make the most of both types of offices.
It's not practical to try to limit campaign contributions. Democrats are skilled in finding
ways to bribe politicians under the table. Every failed Democrat gets a university professorship.
Give officeholders real work to do. Don't let them slack like Buttigieg.
The Founding Fathers are laughing. They like balanced government, and now we have balanced government.
What's more powerful, the Presidency, the House, or the Senate?
If you want big budget, you need all 3. If you want to sabotage big budget, you only need to have 1.

Republicans should steer campaign money to the lowly campaign volunteers. Let all advertising be done by real human volunteers, not TV commercials.
TV ads can only go so far. If you overdo it, it backfires. A human volunteer has the opportunity to be charming and pleasant to talk to. Spend money on cookies and coax voters to the Dark Side.
Campaign with surrogates. The surrogates are more imortant than the candidate. The audience is more more important than the teams on the field.
A candidate is only as strong as his surrogates.

Use campaign money to buy a vast stockpile of bumper stickers and put them on Democrats cars. Buy Republican yard signs and put them in Democrat yards.
In classical America, if you keyed the car of the opposing party, and you were caught red handed on video camera, then both parties would denounce you. Today, Democrats cheer on Democrats that key Republican cars. Shame the entire Democratic party.
Sting Democrats. Rig a car with booby traps and cameras and make glorious viral videos of petty Democrat bigots getting karma payback.
A corrupt general embezzles military money. An honest general uses the money to get real ammunition to his army. Many armies lost wars because the generals failed to supply them with ammunition.
In the Civil War, Lincoln orchestrated the railroads, telegraph lines, and industries, and got ammunition to the army. The North won Gettysburg because Lincoln got them bigly ammunition.
Bumper stickers and yard signs are ammunition. Also hand out colored chalk for conservative graffiti.
There were once laws preventing large contributions to any campaign for public office. It is a sign of the success of Marxists and their sympathizers that most things are no longer fair and above board, as they destabilize our society, to make their putrid alternative seem more acceptable.
