Absolutely, as I indicated in my response to Header.

Goat's milk does not need to be watered down. My son was allergic to formula (necessary once I went back to work) but did just fine on goats milk. All grocery stores were carrying it at the time, I guess because lactose intolerance was common even then.

@Header, @toronto_Georgia both can work except for infants allergic to casein or other genetic issues that require breast milk. The alternate sources of milk were issues that led to higher infant mortality rates if they could break down the milk proteins, but for most infants' goats' milk is an acceptable alternative. The issue with adding sugar (a small amount of honey only if absolutely necessary) and holding off on adding rice, oats, to have them sleep through the night is a bad idea because its sets them up for obesity as it increases the number of adipose cells they develop, oral thrush and baby tooth decay even before the teeth breath through the skin. The infant would be better off with a lower starch/carb vegetable added to their diet instead if their mother does not produce adequate milk to meet the infant's nutritional needs. Just a FYI.

The cartel, which government euphemistically calls a “supply management board”, controls prices, production, and imposes import tariffs of 200 to 300% on cheaper US products (despite the free trade pact).

Although this level of government supply management is textbook socialism, it’s supported by many conservatives and has been impossible to reform.

Absolutely, especially for the first several months. To many woman do have to return to the work force though.
