Johnson responded to her with quotes from the Bible using masculine pronouns for the deity.
“Father, Son, Holy Spirit.” “Our Father...” — Abby Johnson
Clymer used this as an opportunity to point out the priority Johnson was placing on respecting God's supposed gender—a respect that Johnson doesn't extend to trans and nonbinary people like Clymer.

Abby, this doesn't make sense. I agree with you that God is science, but that doesn't illustrate a discrete proof that God has male-only biological characteristics. If anything, it suggests God is all genders. So, again: what is your scientific reasoning that God is only male? — Charlotte Clymer
