END TIME SIGNS

The Lord Jesus has given us several signs by which to know that we are close to the 70th week prophesied by the the prophet Daniel. In a prophecy addressed to the Jews, the Lord enumerates:

-Matthew 24:5-12

[5] "For many shall come in My Name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many." We've been seeing this happen all throughout history.

[6] "And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." Still seen happening all throughout history.

[7] "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places." Still seen all throughout history, but at an ever-increasing crescendo.

[8] "All these are the beginning of sorrows." Or what is also translated as "the beginning of birth pains."

[9] "Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for My Name's sake." "For My Name's sake," but not at the angle we think we are reading. And the angle is, they are hated for their rejection of Christ. We've seen anti-Semitism from 70AD all the way to the Inquisition and the various pogroms all the way to the present, but becoming more intense and widespread, with many all over the world harboring Jew hatred in secret. Sadly, even from professing Christians.

[10] "And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another." We're seeing this only fairly recently: anti-Jew Jews who embrace Israel's enemies more than they embrace their own.

[11] "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many." Now this is an altogether new "crop", something that might even be associated with the Internet. False prophets have - if you'll pardon the expression - become almost like a dime a dozen. A veritable glut of "prophets" are claiming personal divine revelation saying the Lord told me this and the Lord told me that. This is the prophetic sign given by the Lord Jesus as a sign of the end times that is most difficult to just explain away.

[12] "And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold." Iniquity = lawlessness. International institutions deceiving people all over the world and openly advocating for depopulation? Governments giving the green light for rioting and the subversion of the values of their culture? This, too, is a fairly recent and widespread phenomenon that is most difficult to explain away.
