I think the pressure to "not be too holy", as the narrator puts it, is especially true in Western cultures. It has been ingrained by their society so early and so often to the point that it already eclipses what the bible teaches about it for the Western Christian. But I think we over here in the third world are also already at a hair's breadth away from where the West is now. We cannot pursue a life of holiness, one that, among other things, "mortifies the flesh" (in the context of what the bible teaches, would be outside of the walls of marriage) if the bible is allowed to be eclipsed by culture. It is a big issue, and likely the hardest and the last to be overcome by believers.
