What’s stopping private police firms from using force on customers?

Why would a company take out its own potential customers? Competition. A company wouldn't attack you because it would ruin their reputation as a reliable . It’s in a good private police force's best interest to keep the peace in hopes of gaining customers and therefore income. And if they do ever use force or threats, they'll instantly lose all customer and investor reputation. People can quickly turn to a fairer and more functional alternative, and many individuals and other private police forces will have the means to stand against an aggressive company with force. A corrupt private police firm wouldn't last a week in a consensual competitive market, which is not hard to maintain for the above reasons.

And what's stopping a government from turning on you? It does in the form of taxes, police overreach, and unfair regulations on what people can and can't do. The government is no safer than a corrupt private police . There's no safer alternative than consensual, private firms.

Posted by SpikeTalonI think most members in this group would agree with this. State and local police forces these days have morphed into a business.
