I don't identify as left or right and feel that to embrace either as my political view is just to embrace bias.

My experience with public discourse on many issues is one of perpetual opposition. Against the identity politics of both biases and the blind unarguable generalisations of both sides I look for a nuanced line between rationality and empathy.

I only wish I was more capable to engage on these topics in a way that I could reasonably believe would make a difference.

I am hopeful that the IDW community serves it's purpose and we can all come here to learn and educate ourselves through honest open discussion. (hopeful but sceptical)
