Born in the heart of the MidWest, I moved to Georgia to escape the harsh winters. I have been teaching for years. Thirteen up north and two in the south. I am married for the second time to a very kind, if not grumpy, man who loves to fly and repair antique clocks. I am a and a grandmother.
In addition to teaching, am a formally trained artist, receiving my training at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. I established a private studio here in rural Georgia called the Stick Cabin. From 2013-20 I owned and operated an art gallery called the LithaMoonGallery, featuring new, local and emerging art. My work has been shown both nationally and locally. My work ranges from the spiritual abstract to representational works. In addition to painting, I am a photographer, graphic designer and sculptor.
Politically, I have always been Libertarian in my views. Until the last presidential election cycle, I never really much attention to politics, nationally. I believe in freedom of speech and thought, which is why I am part of this community.
I enjoy intellectual discussions ranging from history to philosophy. Reading, film, gardening and exploring historical sites(including cemeteries) are some of my past times.
