Conservative, liberal Methodists to split over gay marriage
(Reuters) - The United Methodist Church plans to split into two later this year, church officials said on Friday, a schism that follows years of contention over whether the church should end its ban on same-sex marriage and gay clergy.
The plan, if approved at the church’s worldwide conference in Minneapolis in May, would divide the third-largest U.S. Christian denomination into two branches: A traditionalist side opposed to gay marriage and the ordination of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender clergy, and a progressive wing that will allow same-sex marriage and LGBT clergy.
The split would affect the denomination globally, church leaders said. The United Methodist Church lists more than 13 million members in the United States and 80 million worldwide.

Don't care what the Methodists, the Baptists, the Lutherans, the Catholics...do. Those organizations are of no threat to anyone.
The only "religion" (not) I care about is Islam. Islam is a threat to the lives and well being of every living human being. Socialism is its nearest sibling in that regard.

no I do not - I mean the "religion" of Islam itself. Do some research on the texts of their religion. You'll see why I say that. And as far as I can tell a "moderate Muslim" is one who will stand by and cheer while a radical Muslim removes your head.
@Obiwannosi What I have read is that 75% of moderate Islamists support jihad; but even if those figures are wrong, it is allowable to lie to infidels, how would you deal with that intellectually and in deliberations or discussions.
