The wingnut section of society has redefined racism. The actual definition of racism is very simple, prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. The problem for wingnuts is that the actual definition of racism means that any person, regardless of their race, has the potential of being a racist. The reality is evident when you take a good look at happenings in society. I have met, and read about plenty of people of races other than white folks who were hard core racists. Louis Farrakhan is one of the first people to come to mind. Growing up in West Texas I had numerous encounters with hispanics that were very racist. When I worked at the prison down home we had a group of Nigerians that were as racist, and even more so against Mexicans than the average Klansman is against any non white. We had a group of Cubans that were the ultimate of racists, they even looked down upon all non-Cuban hispanics.
The wingnuts have a very specific agenda, they want everyone to hate all white people, and have even convinced plenty of white people to hate themselves. One of the methods by which they have succeeded at this was by redfining the word racism. They added a bunch of irrelevant, convoluted crap about economic power, and slavery that defines racism as only whites being racist, and in fact all whites are racist by the very nature of being born a white person. The fallacy of this idea comes to light when the wingnuts are calling black Christians like Walter Willimas a racist bigot, but when someone like Al Sharpton is called racist they will scream that it is impossible for a non white person to be racist.
These fruitcakes have thrown around the words racist, and racism so much, and in context that is totally wrong, even with their fake definition, such as calling someone who speaks against islam a racist when islam is not a race but a religious doctrine, the wrods have no real value any more.
