I agree, the interviewer was obviously instigating the first move.. but I respect the self control he displays, easily transitioning from agression to calmness, without being taken over by emotion. which to behonest the actual conversation between the two wasnt too bad, besides the fact that neither were able to come to any type of understanding...

it would definitely be difficult for me not to instigate people like this, but thats why i don't participate in protests

I don't think the guy being interviewed, seeming atleast halfway reasonable, should be involving himself with such hypocrytical group of people..

on second thought, rather than not associating with the extremes of ones side, they should attempt in helping bring them back to reality smoothly before they are destroyed when they crash into reality at full speed.

@DesireNoDesires, I thought the videographer lost it for a bit. It wouldn't have taken much more to have a beating. Thing is, guy looked tougher than them. Honestly, I think that's all that kept this non-violent. They couldn't intimidate him. But, that's why he went, right? I've seen a couple of videos like this lately--one a younger girl--where she was just throwing out barbs and rubbing in their faces her right to not be punched in the mouth. Why? Because if you punch me in the mouth, it proves you're wrong about everything and I'm right about everything. That's just not the case. But, it's an artifact of our videotaped world. There are tons of videos that do a better job of not being escalatory, but the aim is to make somebody look foolish on tv. That's only going to play so long before the word gets out--DON'T DO INTERVIEWS. Even guys like Will Witt and Jesse Watters--Crowder. The point is to show the other side snapping, looking dumb or uninformed. It's a tough conversation because I do believe the left is gravely uninformed, and I believe equally inappropriate behaviorally, but you can't be out there just trying to embarrass people. Eventually, they're going to catch on to the game, and you're cutting your own throat. I guess the argument can be made there are always dumb people who never figure stuff out--I'm not sure I'd have a response to that.

Anyway, most of us have been through that sort of thing on fb or twitter--even here--where someone tries to piss you off by being a douche, and then pulls the old, 'see? there's the real you, and you're really this gross oppressive knob white supremacist. Yuck. All of that junk isn't intellectual debate. That's subterfuge and insincerity--manipulation--nothing more.

@chuckpo Being completely honest with oneself is the most important practice to prevent losing composure over the ignorance of others, while protecting your integrity being lost from compromising a strong belief, in an attempt in reaching an understanding, or to avoid criticism.

I get to the point where as soon as the person shows any sign of pride driven intention, I then respond not to compete with them, but in hopes of reaching someone whom may be reading.
