Midnight's Edge: Disney’s The Little Mermaid FLOPPED, and Hollywood can’t handle it!!!
Leading up to its release, many assumed Disney’s The Little Mermaid live action remake, would reach a billion, like The Lion King and Aladdin before. It will not. More than that, while many struggle with accepoting this, the movie is actually on its way towards outright flopping.

That being said, Little Mermaid pulled in $117 Million opening weekend. Hardly a flop.

You seem to miss the point on both accounts.
Your preface implies that this is some kind of dumb people doing dumb things. Not true. Otherwise WH would not be lit in rainbow colors. What this is is social engineering and official religion of the regime that has no tolerance to any other religion. If you don't understand the implications of that, you should revisit actual historic events of last 250 years for reference.
Your second point is also missing the point. Not sure if you watched the video, but the answer why you are missing the point is in the video.
