I’d suggest studying in depth what Merrium Wbster has to say about the differences between Equality versus Equity {NOT JUST THE FEW EXTRACTS HEREIN BELOW} as there’s an awful lot to be learned about it.

Our founding father’s choice of words in the second paragraph of our Declaration of Independence has inadvertently opened the door to spurious controversy by peoples of evil intent for what seems like ages now. At this late date it’s highly unlikely that anything can be contributed that such people will accept and/or acquiesce to even for the benefit of all.

As I understand it, as a general rule socialism lauds EQUALITY now and EQUITY later? But it’s a requirement for EQUITY later that EQUALITY now must be sacrificed. This is where the rub comes in. Socialism advocates giving up the attainable EQUALITY (bird in the hand) in anticipation of attaining EQUITY (two birds) later.

Precisely what EQUITY can men look forward to by agreeing to be UNEQUALLY disposable today?

What to Know
Equality means the state of being equal, and equity adds the element of justice or fairness; it’s possible that “equal” treatment does not produce “equity” when conditions and circumstances are very different.

Equity and equality share the same ultimate Latin root, but they split the meaning down the middle (so to speak), carving two distinct nouns that nevertheless do have some overlap in meaning.

Sameness vs. Fairness

Sometimes this distinction is explained with an illustration showing people of different heights using boxes to stand on in order to see over a fence; equality is if all the boxes are identical, but equity is if the boxes are different sizes to permit the people, regardless of their height, the ability to see over the fence.
